  1. Honestly? I don't have sympathy for people who meet someone online and then in real life all of two times before they get married (all within a six month time frame) and then find out they've been scammed. I've been apart from my husband now for 14 months and we STILL have to complete NVC and the 601. I can't even tell you how hard it is to see people get approved and complete their journey in 4 months time when I have a REAL relationship, met him in REAL life and am not getting SCAMMED. So sue me for being so "judgmental" when this process is ANYTHING but fair.

    agree.

  2. On the bright side, when your spouse is approved you won't have to go through the whole adjustment of status like the K1 which costs much more  & you have a year and 9 months before needing to ROC!

I agree!, maybe the reason K1 are much faster than IR1/CR1 coz they pay much plus once K1's get in the US they will not able to work till they have their AOS.

  3. I already know about that....My wife lives just outside of Manila proper. That only caused 3 day delay with interview appointments.

I am referring to the fact that my visa category must wait....while other visa categories pass by and schedule their appointments.

I know that feeling, but I am the same visa category u have. i have IR1 and IR2.

  4. apprently you got lucky.....the NVC operator just told me that I will not hear anything until at least September 15. But if all the appointment slots become full for October. Then I will wait until October 15 for November schedule.

Maybe I am lucky, but I am pretty sure you will get it tomorow if not today, and I will make a wild guess that your interview date will be October 2 or 3.

  5. Nope, at the very earliest it will be 3 more weeks before I am notified of my appointment date. But according to NVC it could be up to 8 more weeks before I receive notification and then 6-8 more weeks until the interview day.

When i was waiting for my appointment date, I did kept calling them and telling me the same stuff too, they normally say it will take 20 business day which I really dint believed. My case was completed July 24 and got my appointment date July 31. acording to your time line tomorrow will be your 5th day of waiting. be optimistic if you didnt get it today then tomorrow might be a different story.

  6. I've been here in the US for almost 6 years now, me and wife dated since we were 16 years old, I left her with our son November 2006, and went to visit them twice 2009 and 2011, It was hard to save money and see them every year coz I have to send my wife allowance for their daily needs and pay her nursing school and at the same time my son goes to school too, the agony being away from them almost kills me, it feels like you are in jail you wake up in the morning go to work, gym and home, you already know what you gonna do everyday, what you did today is the same thing you did yesterday and you will do tomorrow, I never thought we will not make it. but we are now almost at the end of this journey, I cant wait to be with them.

So I'm sure you things will be fine with you.

  7. I know many IR-1/CR-1 applicants feeling this pain.

So, can somebody please explain this to me as if I were a 3 year old?

We are finished at NVC, but are told that we must wait at NVC because no interview slots are open for August or September.

So as we wait there, now I see that all the interview slots for October are filling fast.

So we will wait at NVC another month because October filled up????

Then as we wait some more all the interview slots for November fill up..???

Is this an indefinate process for an IR-1/CR-1 applicant...???.... :crying:

You will get your appointment date I will hope you will get it today or tommorow.

  8. Hi friends here in VJ!

I just wanna ask who among you here who got approved this August (early August to be specific) has there Manila Case Number already? We filed May 31, NOA1 was June 5 and NOA2 was August 3. And til now we don't have yet our case number. We do keep on calling NVC but they the best answer so far they gave us was they received our papers from USCIS last August 6. And worse is, most of the agents whom we talked to do not have consistency in answering us. Others say they haven't received our papers yet, some say call again after 10-20 days. :( Haayy.

We're still waiting though to have it before the end of the month. Anybody here who is going through the same stage? Please feel free to comment. Thank you!

Just keep calling them, I personally didnt believe that 10 to 20 businessday.

  9. Dear Friends,

May i know what is the average range of days or weeks on getting your visa & passport back after an interview in US embassy Manila?

Is there a way to receive the visa less than a week or with in a week??

do we need to pay a higher fee for an expedite delivery of a visa after an interview?, how much?

    Thank you :)

Some get theirs within 3 to 5 days.

  10. He didn't forget my name. Ever had that experience when you are so keen in making everything right and failed to realize that you did something wrong, that's his case. There is a big difference between misspelling and forgetting the name. Duh! I don't think my case is different as I don't think my fiance is the first man to misspell there fiance's name wrong. LOL! It isn't strange that the embassy didn't notice is, they just didn't bring it up. Besides, like I mentioned above, the USCIS had it corrected and actually sent us a NOA with my name correction. My only concern is that, after my name being corrected by the USCIS, will the US Embassy follow the name on I-129F or the name on my DS-forms. That's just it!

I would really try to call them.

  11. YEPS, comply it just last week :)

I just told my wife about this, and she said how to ask for this when its only CENOMAR is the only thing in the form list.

Or just go straight to the window and ask them you just need CEMAR?

Im sorry if im hijacking this thread..

  12. Certificate of No Marriage(CENOMAR) certifying that an applicant was never married.

Certificates of Marriage (CEMAR)- provide a chronological listing of all applicant's marriages.

    - if got multiple list of marriage then it's a RED FLAG/NO VISA

You already have a copy of your CEMAR?

  13. I doubt that is true.....My case was completed at NVC on the same date, but my petition still sits at NVC.

just tryin to base it according to what I experienced, since we are all in the same consul. My documents left NVC 24th of July 2012, after that i called NVC every day till July 31 2012 they told me my case was closed and gave me the date of interview, i even ask if i cna expedite it to teh earliest date possible , he said we dont do that.

  14. Anyone completed the Insanity workout series? I am fixing to start my first 60 days (round 1). Any thoughts from anyone who has tried it? Looks tough!

form what I understand u have to complete p90x first before u go to Insanity, Insanity is quite more intense. I did try a couple of work out on p90x, and those exercise will burn you out!!
