Akwaaba*Edward got a reaction from JE06 in calling all March 2012 filers....
I am a March 20, filer and I got my NOA2 on Tue 9/18. I must admit I did call and email almost everyday since mid August. The USCIS website had a 5 month processing time for K1. I was determined to know why my petition had not been approved and why the information online had not been updated to reflect the actual processing delays @ the VSC. The K1 visa date was changed to Feb 27, on Sep 13, finally!!!! The last time I called and asked for a supervisor was on Mon 9/17 and I got my approval text on Tue afternoon 9/18. My heart goes out to all of you because I know matters of the heart are never easy and waiting is very hard indeed. God willing, it will happen soon my dear.
One more thing, pay NO attention to SOME of these rude, miserable, UNhappy, "down right" mean folks who use this site. Knowledge is power and the purpose of this online community is to SHARE information and experiences throughout this process. If I can help you with anything more, please let me know.

Akwaaba*Edward got a reaction from IR5FORMUMSIE in California Rodeo Clown Makes Racist Joke About Michelle Obama
I'm so tired of the "racists uprising" that has been more and more evident since Obama was elected. Michelle is an educated, successful, intelligent, strong, beautiful black woman. It's absolutely sad borderline pathetic how some people insult her features because they're intimidated by her existence. #sheisthe1stladygetoverit!

Akwaaba*Edward got a reaction from B_J in Are You Mature Enough?
As I read some of the posts on this site and others, I'm amazed at the LACK of respect & maturity displayed in some relationships. Marriage is a big step and a serious commitment that should not be taken lightly. What happens between you and your partner should be held in the highest regards. Seeking advice or information and "airing your dirty laundry" are NOT the same. Marriage is not made in paradise and NO relationship is without its challenges. However, how you handle those challenges is a testament to your love and commitment to that person.
Only God is absolute perfection and we ALL make mistakes. Talk to your mate and try to resolve the problems you face. Understand that forgiveness is necessary in order to move forward and grow. STOP embarrassing yourself and your mate by revealing such personal intimate details about your relationship online. If you truly love that person and you're ready for marriage, there is NO way you would ever consider public humiliation. Again, I ask "are you mature enough."

I am by NO means worried. If others can express feelings, opinions, facts and relationship drama then certainly I can post my thoughts as well.

Amen!!! That is why I stayed for so long and I keep going back. My daughter was with me when I visited last month and we had a great time. I'm a mother first and I had to bring her along so we could spend time as a family. After all, we'll all live under the same roof as one.
