One last very important thing that I forgot. You will first need to print the bar code sheet from the payment portal for both fees and that will be first page on top of each package.

I sent original copies and copies of her birth certificate and marriage certificate only. On ALL of the forms on the top right corner, I put the BGT case number. I also used a cover letter for all the AOS and IV packet (im pretty sure it wasn't necessary). I think you have enough for your proof of employment. The employment letter is good proof but Im pretty sure it's not necessary either.
Once you get to the NVC stage it will go by fast! Good luck!!!

Hope we get approved soon really hate seeing aug and sep apps approved before ours.
    Best of luck to all.

Called USCIS today to file a service request as today is the 5 month 1 day mark. I was told that VSC is still working on May and it will be about 20 days till they get to my petition, PD June 4th.
So, that's the skinny for now at least.
Doesn't mean I may not get a response prior, just means they want me to leave them alone until then.
    Lady was really nice though.

I can't believe how frustrating an experience the wait for NOA2 has been. Its not bad enought we had to see people from Apr. May and June get approved a month ago at CSC, now we get to see how all those who applied in Aug. Sep and even Oct start to get approved....
Don't get me wrong, its not the people I am hating on, it's the system and how they abuse the proper function of a queue, being in all cases a first in first out system. I really feel there should be some reimbursement for all the mental anguish and stress this generates.
.... BTW, the service request opened a couple of weeks ago just came back in the mail with a notice that requests I give 60 days for a response. (No Words)
Good Luck to all living and feeling the same way.

Yes, you're right. It can't hurt at all.
Awesome! I hope they just process your app when they see it. It would be a waste to go through the files, find it, and then put it back because it's supposed to be processed next week as opposed to this week. What a load that would be.
Can't wait! May is already 30.6% complete!

I had a previous service request for the upgrade of my petition from permanent resident to USC. So I called to check on that, when they confirmed that it was complete I asked when I can expect to be processed the rep told me that in 5-6 months, I responded yes but from my priori date, so that would only be 1-2 months. She say "I think it's from the upgrade date", once she said I think that was my entry to get to level 2, I said I really want to know for sure because if that was the case I expected a new priority date.
Long story short I was transferred to level 2 and the officer opened a service request to check on the "exact status" of my application.
Right now I am just hoping that they process it once its in someone's had. Can't be bad to have a little extra attention on my case, the officer said I should know in less than two weeks the answer to the request.

I will add to what Jay-Kay posted. (she is absolutely correct btw)
There is another reason to copy all of the pages which isn't in writing. This is to show that you are not trying to; #1-hide anything and #2- that nothing has been manipulated in your passport. There are several super senior members who advocate this. I am of the same opinion.

It shows entry/exit stamps (proof of meeting for K1). For the US Citizen, it can be used to prove citizenship in lieu of birth certificate.

If those intentions are known, then it is unlikely the visitor will be admitted to the USA. In the case of the spouse of a US Citizen, if AFTER, they are already here, they decide to adjust status, that option is available. Nobody is going to ask them about their intentions during the AOS interview because those intentions are not grounds to deny the AOS.
To plan ahead of time to do so, is risky in that one never knows if they will actually be admitted to the USA.

What did the CBP officer ask him? DId he have to sign any forms? All these things can come into play later.
This always becomes a hot topic. If he entered legally, did not lie to any of the CBP officers questions, he can adjust status. Like Nich-Nick stated, it gets really twisted in this area.
I personally do not understand how an alien, who is married to a US citizen, comes to "visit" on a Visa/VWP/ESTA (bringing all of their personal belongings and knowing they are going to stay) gets to adjust status. But it happens.
If only I had known then what I know now.
What I see here on VJ now is the perpetuation of how to not file K1 or CR1 and get your loved one here ASAP. But, it won't matter at all until laws are changed to "you can't adjust status from Tourist Visa or VWP/ESTA. Until then, congratulations everyone.

    I have a PD for June 6th.
It just made sense to me to split the month since there are already approvals being done at CSC for June. Where those of us that are in VSC are still hoping to be approved by early Nov.
