  1. Hello everyone, I hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend. I am working on getting all my ducks in a row to file a Fiance visa in Kiev. She has a 11 year old daughter. She just got the letter of consent from ex notarized and copies of the passport pages. next is the immunizations updated for her and her daughter. I understand she needs a police certificate. Do we need one for her daughter also. And please let me know if there is anything else we need to do to prepare to be ready to send in the visa application. Yes I know, Read the guides, but with our government constantly changing things I just want to be certain..

    Thank you everyone..

  2. Hello everyone, I have just returned from my first trip to Ukraine. It is a great place. It is sad that the war is going on there. I was in Kharkiv when the plane was shot down.. I have been communicating with my Lady for some time now and decided to make it official and go meet her. I arrived on july 9th and left on the 22nd. Every day I saw more and more qualities I have always dreamed of finding in my lady,, I am very much in love, And she was wearing my Engagement ring when I left.. I want to start the fiancé visa process.. She has an 11 year old daughter, the same age as my daughter.. I have explained to her about the requirement for the letter of consent required from the father for her daughter to move here as a lpr.. She understands this. But to increase our chances of success She wants to see a copy of a letter that was approved.. She is a lawyer and engineer for the railroad in Kharkiv.. Does anyone here have a copy of a letter that was approved by U.S. immigration.. that you would be good enough to share with us.. Also I will be looking for other advice throughout this process... Now I know first hand why so many men are in love with fsu women. they are awesome. She blew my mind everyday I was there, compared to the fine women in America...

  3. Hi Everyone, I have been reading the guides and wiki. I can only see outdated info on this... for Marriage in Ukraine. Are American citizens required to show proof of any vaccinations or immunizations. I have a Dr apt on Tuesday and any help / info on this would be appreciated. I saw an old post several years ago that said rubella vaccination was required. However on the Ukraine consulate website they do not mention immunizations being required... Also for the CR-1 The guides still say up to 10 months processing times.. I have been informed that since they started using private companies to process the visas the fiancé visas are going through in about three months. Does this time period also apply to the CR-1 visa. Also She has a daughter. will this cause any delays or are both visas processed at the same time. ?

    Thanks everyone...

  4. Hello everyone, I have been trying to research the spousal visa process. I can not find out if there are one or two affidavit of supports required. like the fiance visa requires one for the kiev consulate to approve the fiance visa. then another affidavit of support is required when you file for adjustment of status..

I understand they are different. but is the affidavit of support only required for the initial spousal visa. ? or is another required when the two year green card renewal is sent in also. Thank You,

  5. I am from kharkiv. You can use aerofrlot and fly from jfk to moscow and the Kharkiv from there, layover is not bad price is ok as well

In regards presents, do not tell them the true value, take all price tags off and say that you only have personal stuff and may be $50.00 worth presents

otherwise you will have to pay 40% duty fee. It happened for me once. I paid $140.00 for saying to have presents for $300

    Good luck.

Thanks, would I need a visa for Russia. Also with the current situation between the us and Russia I don't know if that would be a good idea to go through Russia.

  6. Thanks. I have another question. I asked if her ex would cause problems to bring her 11 yr old daughter here if things work out. she said that when the crisis in ukraine started, She spoke to him in case she needed to go to relatives in russia or friends in italy. And he gave no problem. now she has her daughter attached ?? to her passport. This is new to me. If she comes on fiance visa will that be good or does she need an official document signed by the ex for her daughter to come here. does her daughter need a separate passport also ?

  7. Hi everyone. I have been a member for a couple years now. I want to say to everyone that I am sincerely grateful to everyone for the help and advice over the years in my search for my future other half.

I have been corresponding with a great lady for some time now. I am going to Kharkiv in july. I would like help and advice on best and cheapest travel there from kelm airport { Corning/Elmira, NY}. is it cheaper to get a one way flight there and book a return flight from Ukraine as I have been told it is much cheaper for a flight from there to here, than here to there. Also any advice about travel during the current situation with Putin. And about taking gifts with me. someone said a while back about paying a little extra for vip service and avoiding all the long lines and possible fishing for bribes with anything brought along for gifts.

    Thanks everyone.

  8. Hello Everyone, I have been in daily communications with a lady in Ukraine. now since Wednesday, I can see my posts to her on Skype. And I have not received any replies from her. And I can see when she is online on Skype but video calls do not seem to go through.

I am wondering if the political crisis could have anything to do with this, like putin somehow blocking communications for his own agenda.

or are there widespread internet problems because of the current situation there. ?

  9. Hello all.

I am reviewing the visa processes. I have a question based upon the following,

Does My U.S. Citizen Fiancé(e) Need to File Separate Petitions for My Children?

No. Your eligible children may apply for K-2 visas based on the approval of Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), that your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) filed on your behalf, but your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) must list the children on the petition. Separate visa applications must be submitted for each K-2 visa applicant, and each applicant must pay the K visa application fee.

After your marriage, your children will need to file separately from you for adjustment of status. They cannot be included on your application for adjustment of status. More information about adjustment of status is available on USCIS’s website under Green Card (Permanent Residence).

Important Notice: Under U.S. immigration law, a child must be unmarried. In order to file for adjustment of status for your child following your marriage to your U.S. citizen spouse, the child’s stepchild relationship with your spouse must be created before the child reaches the age of 18.

" the child’s stepchild relationship with your spouse must be created before the child reaches the age of 18." can someone please explain this. ? does this mean show a parenting type relationship or do they mean the child has to be adopted by the spouse / sponsor.

  10. I just read in the news that the E.U. is planning on allowing Ukrainians to travel to all countries that are a part of the E.U. without visas. I have read there are countries that have lower cost of living then U.S. and a better lifestyle. Look into it, also what about becoming citizens of one of them countries for a chance to move to U.S. easier.

  11. Hello everyone, I hope to get something cleared up in my understanding.. Thanks for your help...

At the Kiev Consulate can anyone tell me do they accept co-sponsors on K1 Visa.

I am self employed, normally my income is adequate to be more than 125 % requirement for affidavit of support. however with the economy and bad winter work has been slow. My question is this. Can a private individual ( well off ) write me a letter of employment, stating they will keep me working full time permanently. ?? He has always provided me work during slow times and is sincere in telling me he will always have work for me if there is nothing else available for awhile.

does the Kiev consulate or U.S. Immigration do any research to verify the person writing the letter has sufficient income for this. ? would they want proof like pay stubs or copies of paychecks.. ?

or does the letter of employment have to be from an established business and be on company letterhead and income verified through I.R.S.

In other words what do they do to verify the info in the letter of employment either at consulate or during adjustment of status affidavit of support. ?

Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

I am not looking to do anything that is not above board. I just need to know all the facts to discuss with the gentleman who I mentioned above so he knows what to tell his accountant.

Also do you have to show assets for 3 years or 5 years for affidavit of support. I have read different sites and they say different things. I know you v-j ers know the real deal. or is it just different for spousal versus fiancé visa and affidavit of support for each.
