To all those who are concerned about whether Manila accepts co/joint sponsor for K1 Visa, THEY DO! Donna and I just went in for our interview yesterday and we were APPROVED without any problems. In fact we never even turned in our I-134. I did provide a document indicating that I called USCIS during the I-129F period and included the Time/Date/Name/Employee# of the person who said I would be turning in I-864 with I-864A and NOT turning in I-134 do for our need for consponsorship, which was signed and dated. I also built a case for us providing reasons as to how Donna would not become a public charge, considering the combined family income for the household was over 300% above the poverty line.

For those trying to follow a similar route, make sure to document everything. Be OVERPREPARED is the best advice I can give

hi steelfaith! sputum culture usually takes 2 moths before having said to be positive or negative. I myself worked in a hospital and had exposures to tb but my medical didnt gave my any problems at all. there are factors why people acquire tb as soon as one has exposure. if youre fiancee has a low immune system probably she we'll acquire that for sure. exposure to TB are not really tested for adults in Smlec which is usually done through Tuberculin skin testing. although skin testing is done in children. if this tb is very very dormant not only would you be positve for skin testing but it will also show in xray.

in short, exposure is not well detected unless it will really show up with her xray. my advice if u really wanna make sure u can ask her to do a chest xray 2 months before ur medical just to pacify ur thoughts she is not a TB suspect patient

Why are you assuming she will have health insurance upon arrival to the USA?

I am a US born citizen for 45 years and I do not have health insurance.

im not assuming but telling its a prbability that maybe when she go there she can get a work and then have some kind of insurance. that can shouldr her medical expenses.

smart casual. as long as you look decent. I wore a boyfriend shirt with leggings with closed shoes and turned out just fine classy but comfy :thumbs:

agree with the above posts. its not a reason for denial because it is not part of some communicable dse. and if your wife is underCR1 visa if she gets to have surgery she will probably have insurance once whe gets there.

Hi guys! I had my interview today and yes ill post a review sson. the interview was very easy. but the problem is usem havent received mymedical results yet. I passed the medical concluding from having the cd and vaccine and vaccine record with me. the final window told me st lukes havent forrwarded my results yet. I went over to st lukes and asked about it, i found out tht the doctor who examined me had to go on emergency leave thats why she didnt had the chance to sign my report! they said she will be back on monday and asked me to call on monday. yes kinda annoying that it would cause a delay. the CO told me everything is good they arejust waiting for the results. question anyone experienced this? how many days or weeks will this cause delay? thanks for all the gnerous help here. im still in mixed emotions right now.

your supposed to mark "yes" and put "with work authorization, employer unknown" if you have more questions you can check out the example forms.

I have my interview scheduled for September 7 and my application left NVC on August 29. Will that be enough time for it to arrive on time for her interview?

i have the same question. my interview was rescheduled on sept 7, but it left nvc aug 27. i can track the shipment. it said it arrived in the facility but shipment was on hold. what does that mean? can we make it to sept 7?
