My Wife came to USA in Jan 2013 with IR-1 visa. her son (my step son) came with IR-2 visa. during US entry he was under 18, now he is over 18. They will be completing 3 years soon in US.

I know my wife can apply for naturalization after 3 year, can my stepson apply for Naturalization after 3 year or he has to wait 5 year?

you dont have to file separate for minor. minor will be included as dependent on you application. you need to just pay minor's biomatric fee.

so in total 505 + 18 + 18

ROC is simple and straightforward process. you should be able to file at your own as we all did. but its your choice if you want to pay lawyer to file.

I filed I-751 (ROC) for my wife and included our son as dependent, we received separate notice of actions and WAC numbers. My wife application was approved 2 days ago but our son status has not changed.

is it usual for USCIS to approve petition separately even if they were filed together in one application?
