Hello all,

I am in a confusion right now. The issue is with spelling of birth place on my wife's BC. On I130 forms I spelled it as "Proddutur" and in her passport also it is "Proddutur". Now its time to submit DS230 form and I realized that on BC it is spelled as "Proddatur". I am not very sure what to do here. Should I go with what it says on BC? Will they compare the birth place on passport and BC? Should I be prepared for RFE? Please advice.

Employment letter is not mandatory....if your income has been stable and comfortably above the threshold I would go ahead and send it in without the letter

I am in a state of confusion. I paid AOS bill and everything is ready to submit except I don't have my employment verification letter yet as it is on the way from California. I have printed out 6 months of payslips and also have tax transcripts. My question is, should I wait for the employment letter or should I go ahead and mail AOS documents?

Paid my AOS bill today. Now have to wait for the payment to go through and also wait for DS3032 acceptance email. Moving along slowly but surely.

We have same timeline and I got my case number yesterday so you must be close.

11 business days ( 15 overall ) no case # yet.

This is the normal right now guys. It takes 20 BUSINESS DAYS meaning monday to friday add for holidays! Estimate about a MONTH! from the NOA2 and you should have your case number.

Good to know. Hopefully the process after the case number is assigned moves along quicker.

NVC is taking their own sweet time to assign case numbers. Its been 2 weeks for me and no case number yet.

Its been 14 days and no case number yet for me.

We have the same dates and I got mine yesterday...you should be close!

NVC received my case on July 2nd but no Case number yet. This wait is really frustrating and I thought I was done with it after NoA2. When I call them their answer is 10-20 days. Was expecting to see my wife atleast in the end of Aug..looks like its not happening

Not me. I got my NOA 2 on jun 28th so I guess I have to wait few more days.

hey, it's CR-1, but i just called(impatient) finallllly got in a service request! Alright!

You should also be contacting congressman. Congressman recommendation helped in my case.

When I called today, I was advised to wait 15-20 days and call back.

I had the same the problem this morning but I was able to get through after trying 10 times and then I was put on hold for 20mins.

I am trying to call NVC today at this number 6033340700 but I unable to connect to it. I am getting a busy tone ( beeps ) . Anyone else have this problem?
