e&e4ever got a reaction from HF & HB in K1 Medical Exam completed in Surrey BC
Just wanted to quickly share my medical exam experience while it was fresh in my mind. First of all, I tried to make my transportation & accomodation
YVR to Surrey - limo service $120 flat rate, cab is probably close to the same but it's metered & depending on traffic can vary. The limo service can use the bus lanes so are able to avoid major traffic. It's about a 35km to The Best Western on King George Blvd in Surrey. There is a Robins Donuts, convenience stores, Subway, very good Thai restaurant, family style American food restaurant & a Lighthouse Fresh and Tasty. The hotel is close to Dr Cheema's office ($15 taxi ride). My appointment was at 9am, so I called the taxi shortly after 8, about a 10 minute ride, no worries about traffic, I got dropped off at Tim's for a coffee & a bagel at 8:25, at 8:45 I walked the short 2 blocks to Dr Cheema's, arrived at 8:50. I was the only person there, have your passport, picture Id, appointment confirmation letter that was emailed to you when you booked your interview online, the letter from the Chief, Consular Section - this is the letter that you get with packet 4 & tells you to schedule an interview, your vaccination records, they will take copies & give back yours, pay $280 medical fee, you will be asked to review a form that contains your contact info, case#, passport#, current address, address in the U.S., check these closely for clerical errors. Maybe 2 minutes later they called me to come in, they will take your height & weight and then show you into an exam room. About 2 minutes after that Dr Cheema came in, he makes you feel at ease right away & so does his staff, so don't stress, this really a piece of cake to get through and not stressful at all. He will quickly go through the panel physician checklist, ask you about any meds you may take & for what, if you have a medical history of any items on the checklist, more info can be found here: http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/panel/technical-instructions/panel-physicians/medical-history-physical-exam.html#report
He will chat with you a little bit then do your vitals BP, lungs, heart, ears, temp, checks your abdomen & eye test, wear your contacts or glasses to the appointment. You get a requisition for a chest X-ray & one for a blood test at the front desk & that's it for Dr Cheema, off to the lab you go! Another taxi ride to the lab $9 - the x rays are done on the first floor & the blood work on the 2nd floor. Again I may have waited 5 minutes to get the X-ray - if you have mid - long hair they asked it be put up high in you head, they have elastics if you need one, just ask. Also remove any necklace or jewelry from your neck, they want a clear shot. Up to the 2nd floor to the lab, take a number from the dispenser that is on your immediate right when you walk in the lab door, wait for your number to be called, and they will want picture id, you will be told to go around the corner to your left & take chair & someone will be there shortly, there is a long row of chairs where they draw blood, pick one and they will come to you. I only had to have 1 vial drawn, it may be different for others. It's now 10:11am & I'm back on the 1st floor waiting for another taxi back to the hotel $13. Time to sit back and enjoy the rest of this rainy day & catch up on some zzzz's after so many days of stressing if I have everything that is required for the medical. I had any medical records that I could get my hands on, about 10 years worth, and even though Dr Cheema did not require them, all the info is gathered for AOS medical.
My fiancé flys in tomorrow for the interview on Tuesday, so we will enjoy a mini vacay in downtown Van, a few blocks from the consulate & destress until Monday night, when once again I won't get any sleep. I will try & post our experience at the consulate asap, but you know, my fiancé will be here...))

Hi guys, USCIS received my I-751, removal of conditions, in Aug 2018.
I'm eligible for citizenship application later this year. So, with the potential of I-751 interview, or a combo interview, in 2019 or 2020, I wanted to do a FOIA on what USCIS has exactly for my I-751
This is to make sure they have all the documents I sent, and also as a reminder/reference/prep for myself for the interview(s).

In reviewing form G-639, everything was bio-metric info, aside from below. Please let me know what you think.

Part 3. 1 PURPOSE : To receive copies of, and review, the documents received by USCIS in regards to my I-751 application. Receipt #xxxxx
Part 3. 15 DESCRIPTION OF RECORDS SOUGHT : All the documents USCIS received, including supporting documents and the application itself, in regards to my  I-751, receipt # xxxxxx.

e&e4ever reacted to cookfayII in Two ways to track your card mailing information after uscis mailed out your cards but doesn't provide any tracking number.
    Hey guys,

I would like to share two ways to track your card delivery information (included but not limited Green card, EAD or etc)
After you get status changes to Card was mailed to you by checking from https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus, then you can expect that your card will be delivered soon. Usually, USCIS will usually not provide a tracking number on status online (in some cases they will but some won't),
so according to many other cases and my personal experience, I concluded two ways to get your tracking information:

Option 1,   click this https://www.uscis.gov/contactcenter , and there is a button on the right upper corner of the page shows like: NEED HELP? ASK EMMA. This is not just a robot to answer your question automatically, you can transfer to actual live chat to their customer representatives and you can even verify your mailing address with themas well as you can ask out about your case tracking number. I tried this couple of times, customer representative said that my card was just mailed out very recent so tracking number has been not generated. They also informed that they can help check the tracking number of the case indeed once a number was given by usps facilities. But, their information maybe delay a bit. My other cases showed that applicants usually have already get their cards then uscis provided a tracking to them. But other tired this way successfully!

Option 2, set up a informed delivery notification on https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action    I finally got my tracking number through this. I connected to uscis customer service on Nov 1st, they said that they didn't see a tracking number on the system (My status changed to my card was mailed on Oct 30) they told that I may touch them next day to get try, after I disconnected the live chat just 2 hours later I got a text notification from usps informed delivery showed that there was a priority mail from USCIS- LEES SUMMIT PRODUCTION FACILITY was on its way to me and will expect to delivery on Nov 3rd and tracking number was provided.!

So I hope its be a little bit helpful for you guys don't know how to track your card. I also hope you guys can get your cards soon.

We sent in a service request via online.
Here is the verbiage for our biometrics appointment inquiry:
On 03/05/2018, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-751 / CRI89 to notify us that you have not received your biometrics appointment notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice.  Be advised that USCIS may be able to reuse the previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics for some applicants and have their biometrics copied into our systems.  In addition, USCIS can run the same security checks and use the same biometric data as in the past and may not need to schedule an additional biometrics appointment.  However, if a biometric appointment is necessary, USCIS will schedule your appointment electronically and mail the appointment notice to your current mailing address. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.

Called USCIS to put in a service request for the biometrics.  Didn't bother going for a tier 2 rep.  Service request input and should hear something within 30 days - which is March 15th.  We should get the biometrics letter before then, but it's all good.  We are in no rush.

I think you are getting the different processing centers confused and how to read the processing times.
When you first mail in a form or set of forms, it usually goes to 1 of 5 NATIONAL Processing Centers (California, Vermont, Nebraska, Missouri or Texas). When it gets there, they make sure everything is in order and you wait for them to finish processing it and approve it. Once your I-130 Petition is approved, they usually send it along with your I-485 to a local Field Office in the state that you will be living in. For example, in my case, I mailed all my forms to the Chicago lock-box. From there, they went to the NATIONAL Service Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri because of my particular case (Beneficiary [me] is already in the U.S. and has been married to a U.S. citizen more than 2 years). When my I-130 is approved, they will send it and my I-485 to the Detroit, Michigan Field Office because I am living in the state of Michigan. When it is time for my interview, they will send me a letter and I will schedule my interview at the Detroit. If I am approved at the interview, my I-485 status will update to Approved.
The processing time you are most likely looking for is at the NATIONAL Processing Center, to see how far they are on approving your forms. But, if your I-130 is already approved, you might be sending your I-485 to a different office (Maybe a local Field Office - it depends on your type of case).
Processing times: 1. If an office is processing a form in an expected time period, it will say how many months it is taking, such as....... 5 months. 2. But, if your form is taking longer than expected, they will show the date of the last form they were working on. So, if you see the date - August 24, 2014, that most recent form they finished, was on August 24, 2014. But, this is not always accurate. Sometimes the dates they post, are over 2 months old!
Right now, my case is waiting to schedule me for an interview at my local Field Office in Detroit, Michigan. It says that the last Adjustment of Status case they completed was on October 9, 2014. But, it says that date was post on May 31, 2015 so, it is over 2 months old! I also found out that I am still waiting for my I-130 Petition to be approved. In my case, the I-130 and I-485 were filed together. What is even more stupid, is that the NATIONAL Service Center that is processing that form in Lee's Summit, Missouri (NBC - National Benefits Center)... they do not show processing times for that form! So, to know how much longer it will take, I have to rely on people posting approval times on this website. Right now, it says that the most current I-130 processed at the NBC is January 3, 2015. On the I-797 Receipt Notice for my I-130 form, it shows my Priority Date (the date they received my forms) is February 10, 2015. So, January 3, 2015 to February 10, 2015 is not that far apart. So, I should get an approval notice for my I-130 form very soon! After that, they will likely send my I-485 Adjustment of Status to Detroit and schedule me for an interview. I am just guessing that the Detroit office has moved from their last I-485 case on October 9, 2014 and is probably working on cases around January 2015.
I hope this helps and has not confused you further.
