    My suggestion is you wait. You have waited 5 years to be with her so lets wait for another 6 months. Eventually they (police or lawyers) will have to contact you. Don't make any decisions that you might regret later.

    No they don't flag them electronically. Either they confiscate your passport or your passport is good to go if it is still valid. Having an arrear won't affect your petition as long as you are showing you are making monthly payment according to the order. Having an arrear is like having a credit card debt.
    Please don't make assumption to scare other people.

    This to me is a red flag. You don't need the dad to be there to put his name on the certificate nor you have to marry to put his name there. Honestly your case should be OK. If I were you I would do the DNA test now just in case.
    Also if you don't meet the income requirement they might deny your application hence why she asked you many times where did you get the money to buy the tickets.

    Good luck with your journey also is Iowa legalized same sex marriage? It might be matter in your filing since you have to marry your partner within 90 days.
