  1. Hello all,

I just wanted to give an update to my status. I just recieved an email from uscis that was petition was updated. I went to uscis.gov and this is what it said.

They recieved my 129f on Jan 18th.

Congrats ! I'm about to worry that the Jan 17th box is lost somewhere...

    Post Decision Activity

On July 2, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Man, I need to take a deep breath, praying for the rest of us.

  2. at the end of the day, we just have each other :) no one else would ever understand what we are going through! One day one person is down , other day another! but we are hanging in there because we have a little support and we find a comfort here :) my fiance thinks I am down sometimes because of this website and reading all the stories here but the truth is, if not you guys, I would be really depressed by now, by not knowing what the heck is happening and I would feel like the only one going through a hell of waiting...

Same for me ! Thank god i have all of you guys ! Otherwise i would go nuts ! Touched on 02/08 and still no activity on mine ! Come on VSC you can do it !!

  3. Holy #######...Things are pretty bad..This is not something that resolves quickly or easily...We're in for a tough time ahead..Wish I could just get outta there with NOA2...For those that just filed..May God be with you...

Well now a NOA2 for July is almost not an option anymore, even August... Even with my fiance congressman involved I don't think it will make much of a difference. Definitely no wedding for us in 2012 ! This process is the mist painful thing i have ever gone through...Sorry people but I just feel lime crying now

  4. My fiance received a call from his congressman and she just said that she is on it, that customer service at VSC just don't know what they are doing !!! She also said that sadly its not the first time and surely not the last one either ! That was not much but we feel better that at least someone who can get things moving for us actually care and took us in charge ! :D

  5. Thanks LorRenee! I called USCIS and get fed the same ####### you all have been reporting. I mentioned that I knew for a fact that people who filed in February had been approved and he just continued to say they were working on 1/09. I said "well your website says the processing times are 5 months, so why can't we do an inquiry?" and he said it was because their computers say they're working on 1/9 and I said "ok well when will we be able to do an inquiry? There's a clump of us who filed around the same date as mine and we have heard nothing and we know feb people have been approved" he said when the dates shift in the computer past our date we can do an inquiry. It was like talking to a brick wall.... I felt like banging my head against the wall after talking to them. If I could have, I would have gently banged his head against the wall... Haha

They have been on Jan 9th forever now ! At this pace we will be able to do a service request in 3 months or something !! I don't have any faith in VSC and their crappy unfair, unreluable and inconsistent system ! I think we should all filed with our local congressman !

  6. okay, somehow i was able to put in a service request this afternoon. i quoted that i was told to put in a service request after 5 months. i was worried ,then i ask that why i can't put in a service request even after 5months from the system. he took some info and i got a ticket number.

May I ask what is your NOA1 date ?

  7. Some of y'all have waited longer than Photomile and I, it's ridiculous.

Here's what I sent the Ombuddy

    "Good afternoon,

I had emailed about a month ago asking about the current status for January 3rd petitions that were outstanding. My case has now been approved, however the same inconsistency with the adjudications coming from Vermont doesn't seem to be improving. This is concerning because the entire month of January now seems to be neglected, save for the 5-6 approvals we see in a week. This is most unusual, even more so when petitions filed in February are now starting to see approval.

It would be extremely appreciated if you could investigate this. While I might already have my approval, I am speaking on behalf of those who have passed day 160 of waiting, or are approaching it.

Calling the USCIS call center is excruciating. We have been told they are currently processing January 9th, and have been told this for nearly two weeks. Those wanting a service request simply cannot have anything done on their file because of this inaccurate date. The system will not let them. Why would we see February if this is the case? I hope you can understand the frustration.

If something has caused Vermont to slow down this drastically, a little reassurance would be a relief. Why hasn't there been activity? This is the main question everyone has been asking.

If you can do anything at all, we would be forever grateful.

Thank you for your service and what ever information 30+ people are hoping you will be able to provide."

    Cross your fingers!

I cannot thank you enough for your kind gesture :) you are approved but you still care and that is just AWESOME ! You are the bomb !! :D

  8. I just called USCIS and actually spoke to someone very quickly. That is about the only positive thing I got out of the call. I figured I would call so I could say that I called. I had the pleasure of speaking with Christine, ID 2681745. She was pleasant enough, but gave incorrect information. I told her I was out of normal processing times and wanted to know what I could do to find out where I stand in this process. She told me they were processing September 15, 2011 files! I asked if she was joking. She said no, that this was normal processing times for Vermont and I should check back next month. I asked if that meant that there were no approvals since September last year - not a single one - she hesistated and said yes, that's correct. She said to check online because that is what was posted as the processing time. Well, I did that and she was giving me the processing time for K-3/K-4 - Already married - spouse and/or dependent child.

I won't be calling back. I made my call to say I did it. I'm done with that. :bonk:

Its maddening is it not ?!! At least they should train their people better than that ! I've seen bad customer service in my life but VSC is the worse i have ever seen !

  9. That's right! You better believe that! :)

    [/quote

Maybe i explain myself the wrong way ! Its just that lately, so much empty comment about being patient, it will come made me soo mad !! Sorry about that ! I do have hope and i intend to stay strong but I do know now that 4th July is coming and then summer vacation time, less staff working on our file... Even at 4-5 approvals a day (less than 50% of Jan had been process), end of July seems about right ( not to us though!!!). As for NCV there is a lot of people as we speak that are still waiting after their case number well after the required 2 weeks, so we can all imagined that the backlog could well continue through out the summer right ! And then the consulate !! I don't want to bring people down in their hope, i would be delighted myself if i cpuld be in the states sooner than i expect !! On the other hand i'm just realistic about that whole mess !

  10. end of July??? have you heard of a power of positive thinking? by venting you won't make things moving unfortunately.. I mean we are here to listen and help each other but we are also here to help each other stay positive and to give some sort of hope!

Have you contacted your congress person? rang USCIS and ask for the service request?

We did try to do a service request but they refused to do one saying they were processing Jan 9th so they were not late and that the computer did not let them ?!! My fiance sent the form to his congressman last week, hoping to received a call from them this week , so yes we did what we could under the circomstances and we try very hard to stay positive in this whole mess but we are realistic, we wanted to get married late August bit now we know it wont happen by the end of 2012...if we are lucky but we will prevail !! Would be nice to have a less slow embassy too !! :)
