  1. You know the way each of us dreamt at some stage to go to sleep with a smile on our face and wake up without hoping and praying that this very day would be the day we can breath again?? Well are you ready for those promised tears of happiness??????

    POST DECISION ACTIVITY !!!!

Now, that is an awesome news !!! CONGRATS !!

OMG I am just after ringing Terry, we were crying like little babies...

Thank you guys for being there for me and I promise to be there for all of you who are left waiting and I will be updating you the way I have been every single day!

  2. Katchoo,

We have just called NVC. They received our case and updated it in the system. It will be sent to embassy on Monday. They didn't give us a case # as Slovak people don't need it.

You might want to call today too since we have the same noa2 date

Thank you so much ! I'll give them a call on Monday, but since I need a Montreal case number maybe it will take them longer to log it into their system ? I'll keep you posted ! For now I am enjoying a small week end in Vermont with my sweety :)

  3. Hopefully next week they'll have it for you! 2 weeks seems to be entirely possible for it. will be interesting to see the trends of VSC - NVC...and for the rest of us...Hopefully VSC wakes up tomorrow. Just give us at least one decent day please...

I just wish my fiance congressman could help you all ! She is specialized in immigration issues, especially dealing with VSC and let me tell you, she kick #### ! We were very lucky !

  4. Our interview is tomorrow morning here in Montreal. Have a look at my signature, it will give you some idea of what to expect lately. Normally the longest wait after the NOA2 is the USCIS to NVC transfer of the petition. For us it was 2 weeks for NVC to receive and about 2 days to assign a case # and they sent it to Montreal right away!

Thank you so much ! I hope your interview went well ! :)

Good luck. If you have any questions, let me know! :) there are tons of people here to help.

Thank you so much ! How long did it take to book the interview ? I read horror story that it can take 2-4 months to be able to book one...is it still the case ? Wish you all the best for your interview tomorrow !

  6. The million dollar question! Montreal is notoriously slow and no one can predict how long this will take. Based on my experience and one year on VJ, you can count about 3 weeks for Montreal to receive your case from NVC, log it and to send you Packet 3. Then it all depends how quickly you send them your documents. Say it's right away, it'll sit in their mail room for 2 weeks and most likely processed on the 3rd, when they'll send your Packet 4. You can then schedule your medical and interview appointment, which will most likely be at least 4-5 weeks out. I'd say you're looking at minimum 11 weeks. So perhaps, an October visa?

Keep in mind that is if Montreal is not any more backlogged than it has been lately; if you are on top of things and send your documents back right away; assuming there is nothing wrong with your medical AND you are not stuck in AP after your interview. It will all be over soon. Good luck!

    Thank you :)

  7. They are even refusing requests after the 6 months mark!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!

Their system has gone totally wrong and they should do something about it!!! They cannot just deny what has been officially stated on their own website. At least change it, damn it!

That's misleading and simply a lie....

As soon as you hit the 6 months mark contact your local congressman and ask them to do an expedite. That is what we did and curiously we were approved 2 days after... It might be just a coincidence but you have nothing to lose by doing it ! :)

  8. Just got my NOA2 on July 19th from VSC and hopefully NVC will receive it soon to foward it at the Montreal consulate. How long you think I will have to wait for the Montreal consulate to log it ? If I understand correctly I have to wait for packet 4 to be able to book an interview ? Is it still a 2-4 months wait to get an interview date ? What is the busiest time of the year for them ? Is it realistic of me to think i would get my visa in hand 3-5 months from now ?

Btw it's for an I129f fiance visa

    Thanks in advance ! :)

  10. did you ring them and asked? did they know what were you talking about?

I am just worrying if our congressman office knows about all those procedures...

Actually, she called my fiance to tell him that she called uscis this morning and request an expedite !

Also, Katchoo your received date is 1/17 when you input your receipt number correct?

I did ! I know it by heart now !!
