Nope. Online filers have an online account (ELIS) where they can see status (obviously), see PDF letters from USCIS, and see/modify uploaded documents. Also can send messages to USCIS that do get replies, though they seem to be always generic replies.
Paper filers are only really able to track via EGOV with a case ID. You can "create an account" on that page too but it doesn't do much for you other than letting you turn on text and email updates. Online filers usually check both sites for status, though the ELIS site's updates are generally way better.

Same message for me. No letter though, but I know the message often comes before the letter by a couple hours or days.

Usually that message means you’re in line. You don’t usually get the letter until the status changes to say the letter was mailed.

In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

Okay then. For me:
EGOV says Interview was Scheduled
ELIS says We reviewed your biometrics
So at least I'm finally "in-line", or whatever the equivalent is for online filers.

If it is in egov website, I agree with @qaszxc1234 - your interview might actually have been scheduled for real.
If the status is in your ELIS account home page, after the recent website update, almost everyone has their status stuck in "We reviewed the biometrics" and only updating when an actual interview has been scheduled.
So, congratulations @IPv6Freely - I think you got real lucky and got your interview scheduled
I dont know what egov is either.

Nope. Until it says the letter was mailed it doesnt mean much. It's just the "in-line" notice that everyone else already got.
Basically, the consensus is that the “interview was scheduled” message (as opposed to “interview letter was mailed” message) just means background check is complete and they are transferring to the field office.

Finally got the In-line notice. myUSCIS case status now says "Interview Was Scheduled", though like others have said their USCIS Account online still says "We reviewed your biometrics"
Still, it's an update...

I called the help line to ask because my husband had biometrics done on Sept 8 but there was no change from his online status of "Your Case has been received". We never got an email or other notification that the biometrics had been received, although we have that paper from biometrics with the stamp on it. Anyway, she said that that's normal because they never update people after biometrics and that the next we'll hear is when we get the letter for the interview. That seemed strange to me because people on here got notification that they're biometrics had been received and their statuses changed. I wonder if that's a quirk of the online filing system and because we were paper filers we don't get notified of those steps?
Yes, if you didn't file online your status updates are going to be much less granular.

Just had my biometrics but expecting a letter giving an interview date, whenever that may be...
You could be waiting a long time. The biggest gap in the process is between biometrics and interview. Could be days, weeks or months. No way of knowing.

I was a visa holder when I arrived in the US so I didn't need to register. Not sure what the letter is that people are talking about but I definitely don't need that.
