I called today to find out where my case is and I got another (Specialist at DOS) and now they said the case hasnt arrived yet. Smh! Do they really know?

Since dos are confusing you now I think you should email Dakar embassy putting in the subject line ''K VISA APPLICANT '' and then provide your name and your fiancé's names with your case number in the body of the message sending to consulardakar@state.gov. That's what i read in the dakar embassy website

Wondering what is the process in changing a visitors visa status to a K-1 visa if you decide to marry ? Can any one help me to learn more?

Thanks for your response. I'm actually the U.S citizen and the to-be petitioner. I'm unable to make it to his country for now due circumstances beyond my control(Not financial though), so i was thinking if he could use this process in coming to me. If otherwise, We will just have to wait till i make it there to his country in a not too distance time.
