She should have received instructions from the consulate her passport visa regarding the fee. It is only paid after  the visa is issued.   I cant see your DS 260 so i cant tell you if you checked the box or not. The USCIS website has plenty of information on paying the GC fee. There are multiple threads on here .. search for “paying green card fee”

I was able to pull up the DS260 submitted and see that my husband did anser "yes" to the ss# question in regards to getting one issued. I will search that on here. Thank you so much for your help, I greatly appreciate it.

Ensure the $220 green  card fee has been paid. The GC will be mailed to her anytime from weeks to months Her stamped visa is her temporary GC until then. If she checked the box on her DS260 requesting a SSN, wait 3 weeks.  If she  hasnt received it  by then .. or if she didn't request it.. head to the SSA office with  the required documents and apply in oerson

I do not think we paid the $220, who would we pay it to? We also do not remember the option to check the box for a social on the DS260:(

I-864 is the general form he will need to use if he doesn't qualify to use I-864ez.

I-864EZ is the simplest form, but can only be used if only your husband is sponsoring his mom, based solely on his current annual income (salary or pension), and she is the only immigrant your husband is sponsoring.

I-864A does not apply.  It is for a spouse of a joint-sponsor.

I-864W does not apply - it is an exemption claim due to the immigrant being under 18, having worked 40 quarters in the US, and other reasons.  Does not apply to your mother in law.

OK, so we would use the for I-864 since my income will also be included in the form to ensure we are below the 125% poverty guideline?

    Hi.

What is your question?  "help with the I-864 forms" is nebulous. Do you need help with anything specific?

We are trying to figure out exactly which one of the I864 needs to be filled out since there is a I864 EZ, A, and W.  Also, since I am his wife, will I needed to be listed or complete any of the I864?

  5. Hello guys

My husband who is now a US citizen petitioned for his mom, she case was approved by USCIS and forwarded to NVC. We are trying to submit a necessary documents so that her visa interview can get scheduled. We just need help with the I864 forms so that we can determine exactly which ones to fill out. Thanks in advance

  6. My husband will be petitioning for his twin sister(I-130) and her 2 small children, we are aware that the process takes up to 14 years, in the mean time we would like for her to get a visitors visa(B2) to be able to come and go. She lives in Jamaica and we would like some tips of what needs to done for her to get approved for a visitors visa. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Agree just follow the guides and he can petition her,  children and spouses only come into consideration when the priority date is current. Not an issue for the now.

Ok, thank you for responding. When he files the petition I-130, do you think it will be an issue if she applies for a visitors/non-immigrant visa in the mean time?

only one way.  usc husband file i-130 for sister.   read guide.  it will take 14+ years.  no faster way.

I am in a similar situation waiting for an RFE on my i-130 petition to see what they are asking for... I was also looking at forums to see what has been asked for in other situations :)[/quo

In my situation, they asked for documents from schools and financial institutions to show proof that my mom and I had a mother and daughter relationship. All of this came about because on my birth certificate my mom's name was spelt incorrectly and she got it corrected like 3 weeks before I filed the petition for her.

  9. I petitioned for my mom almost a year ago to migrate to the US, now it is time to submit AOS to the NVC. However, my income does not meet the guideline. So, I was wondering if my now husband, who arrived here on a K1 visa who now has a 2 year green card and will be submitting a request for ROC later this year, if he can be used as a co or joint sponsor for my mom's case(BTW, I had to get a co-sponsor for his K1). If yes, which of the I-864's should each of us complete. Thank u !

    RFE's other people have received.

You can get an RFE for anything that is missing or incorrect. They will send you a list of the specific items that need to be submitted/corrected.

Thank you very much. This is what I was asking for. I just wanted to have an idea of what they would possible be asking for.

Yes, I got RFE for additional evidence showing that the beneficiary listed on the birth certificate is the same person listed on the I-130 since I forgot to include her marriage certificate...so, I submitted another copy of her birth certificate from nso, her marriage certificate from nso, and copy of her passport...Good luck :)

Thank you! I just can't wait to get the letter to see what they are asking for. Thank you once again and good luck to you as well !!

  11. Why so you can be rude to them also for not being able to tell you what your RFE is for? I suppose you already called the customer service line and were rude to them when they told you they can't see what it is.

Please get off my post. If you read my post you will clearly see that I was not asking for anyone to tell me what my RFE is. Like the post states, it was a question for I-130 petitioners who received a RFE from USCIS, I just wanted to have an idea of what the RFE would be about because I had submitted all the necessary documents along with evidence. FYI, I did call customer service and no I was not rude to the lady I spoke with because she answered the questions I asked, and whatever was out of her scope of support she transferred me to the right department where my inquiry was addressed with very helpful information. Thank you !

  12. You don't have to be an I-130 filer or even received an RFE to understand the each RFE is dependent on specific information lacking in an individual petition. You will know exactly what is needed when you receive the notice that USCIS mailed to you.

You did not answer the question that I asked, why the heck leave a comment on the post. The post is clearly asking for I-130 petitioners who received a RFE to state what the request was. Please continue with your K-1 visa journey!
