Nothing yet...I meant to call the DOS last week but was very busy and didn't get to it...I will try to call this week...I'm trying not to focus on it too much or call too often...."a watched pot never boils"...have you heard any updates from the DOS?

Hi In my husband case its been 18 months. I cannot believe this. I hope everything will be ok soon.

Interviewed in London - my husband is a UK citizen - he just lived in MENA country for a while - senator made 2 inquiries into our case - just wrote to whitehouse & got a response from DOS - apparently the embassy requested documents recently but we never got a request - this is good now that there is some movement - *crossing fingers*

I feel your pain. Our cases as well as been in AP for 11 months, Oct 3 going on one year. (((

Thanks for your prayers. My hubby and his family are safe but so many others are not.

My case was under additional administrative processing for little over 2 years. I Filed writ on Mandamus in Mid July and today I got my IR-1 visa. Please don't take me wrong, but if you can afford 4,k $ than contact good attorney and file litigation without and further delay and get over it other wise let them rule our lives. If you need my attorney's contact info i will be more than glad to provide you one.

AP = administrative processing...or background/name checks...we got put into AP after our interview at the embassy...

Oh so that's what AP means. I'm sorry to hear about that... and I'm really really hoping you get an approval soon...

Nope - we've been in AP this whole time - I just took a trip to meet him in Morocco at the end of May (he flew there from London so I could meet his family in Morocco) - but we are still waiting and praying...

hello, so sorry to hear you are still waiting. what happened with your congressperson or senators? be well.

We had my senator make an inquiry - but I got the same answer I get from emailing the embassy myself- still pending... nothing to do but wait...

Heyy!! I know it´s soooo unfair.. think that you are near the end of the process!! This will be over soon and you know that!!

Hang in there, doll. I know how you feel, but I always remind myself that falling apart will not help my husband. We must stay strong, and continue to do what you can. It may not feel like it helps much, but at least we tried.

Thank you for the support everyone - I had my moment and now I am trying to pull myself out of it and stay optimistic...Eabbas: I pray that you are out of AP as soon as possible and that your daughter get's well. Your strength is truly inspirational.

Now you know someone is looking at it!! I have seen some egyptians get asked for their travel history and they get their visa in 2 months or more.... I hope his is quick!

Hang in there hon! AP is a terrible place and only those going thru it truly truly understand... IT's heartbreaking and feels like its sucking the life out of you but you can hang on and make it! IT will not take forever and soon your AP will be over and in his arms! INSHALLAH!

Thank you! I have been going out of my mind preparing for this trip! It feels surreal to finally be seeing him again! It will be good to take our minds off of AP for a moment and just enjoy our time together!
