    Hey guys I see everyone mentions NOA1 and NOA2 and i am just wondering what is that? I recieved a reciept for my application and that was it......what else am I surposed to recieve before their decision?

      NOA1 is the first receipt you receive from USCIS saying they have received your petition. NOA2 is the receipt you receive once they have approved your petition at USCIS and are ready to forward to NVC.

      Yes, what you received was the NOA1. It says I-797(i think). You will receive nothing else before the decision...only the next receipt. Unless you get and RFE. An RFE is when they need more information. Example: say you forgot to send proof of citizenship or forgot to check off...
