Correct me if I'm wrong, but just because your PD is soon to be current doesn't mean the rest of us need to suffer waiting decades to be reunited with our families. You've been in the same boat with us thus far, why make it as if we deserve the same pain if not more of what you've gone through? We clearly have a broken immigration system and it needs to be fixed once and for all in every way.
For your own sake, please get rid of that drawbridge mentality of yours; it really speaks of your character. And frankly, if you'd pardon my French, it really pisses me off.

NVC is open July 5th. I called them. No I/L madness because very few people have completed their case. Majority just got approved/NOA2.

PD April 30, 2001. Received email today that card was mailed out today July 3rd 2013. Checked status online on USCIS website says Card Production. Doing my happy dance now guys!!!

Not necessarily. It all depends how/when you learn. For me it was the other way around. I could write nicely in English but I had tons of trouble speaking. Why? Because I didn't have the chance to talk with other English speakers and practice it. On the other hand, I had read many books in English and watched lots of movies with captions. My written English, while not perfect or close to it, was easily 10 times better than my spoken one.
To the OP: if your story is true I sincerely hope you get the help you need. If your story is not true, shame on you for making fun of such problems.

hi all am new but being visiting this site for more than a year and just decided to join.i've been through the depression moments and still is.my case is very sad cause i was on my mums lottery forms with my younger sis, but when she won the DVL ,i was over age which made them deny me a visa. after she left for the US,i tried for visit visa and also i was denied with them saying she should file for me I-130.I was then very sad but didn't bother much.after all what.After losing my dad is when i really missed my mum.she come to visit but is not like her being here all the time.she filed for me since Sep2006, was completed at the NVC since June2010 and im still waiting for my PD to become current.The way this process is, if one don't have God, might commit suicide.But i pray that the way we are all waiting for the visa anxiously, is about the same way we are waitng for Christ to come.U.S.A is not Heaven.RELAX and think about it.hope that Jan12 bulleting will be pleasing.

Fingerprints taken at USCIS goes to FBI for background checks. Once your biometrics is complete you can call the FBI to find out whether your fingerprint report has been sent back to the USCIS or not. They WILL NOT tell you whether your fingerprints were rejected or if anything negative was found, instead they will just tell you whether or not FBI has processed your biometrics. The number to call is: 304-625-5590 or 304-625-2406. We tried this a week after our biometrics and the FBI told us that our fingerprints were sent back to the USCIS a few days after the bio appointment.

Called NVC today, Previously they said I will be current in July 2013, now they are saying " Visa numbers are available but it depends on your consulate, you will get an email as soon as you are scheduled a date" so nothing yet.

I hope that they pass the immigration reform soon to reduce the waiting time so your daughter can reunite with you after you migrate to U.S.

Westlink, did you get a chance to look into CSPA (Child Status Protection Act) if your daughter is qualified for it or maybe, you could talk to an attorney and find out about that so you don't miss the opportunity to bring her with you too.

So it seems the delay was for concerns over fraud, not name checks.

So today we had our stokes interview!! They question my wife first for 1.5 hour and then me.
All kind off questions (sex/finances/family/wedding/house etc etc.)
We had 7 mismatches. But not the important things. Questions like who is picking your husband and dropping off him at work. ? Cause we have just one car for now. My wife answered his family and co workers. And I told her my family/ co workers and sometimes my wife!!
Anyways at the end she did not approve or deny our case. She told us to wait 4 to 6 weeks.
What can we expect??

Well if it's a Stokes then they suspect that something is amiss.
Expect for you both to be separated and asked ~50 - 100 questions about all aspects of your daily life together, from the colour of the shower curtain, to who made dinner last night (and what it was), to when was the last time you had sex (yes, they can ask these sorts of questions).
How closely your answers correlate will determine whether they approve or deny your application.

Intent can not be used as the sole reason to deny. Exceedingly unlikely that is the cause of the delay. OP, please keep us updated on your progress (or lack thereof), it's cases like this that help everyone...

Thank you f1junkie, Grace and Nevermind VZ. I managed to enjoy a very good sleep last night. Most important of all, what i experienced yesterday wasn't a dream at all. The notification i got from NVC is still sitting in my email inbox. I double checked just now. Isn't that wonderful? Thank God and you people for walking this journey with me.
