  1. Good day! Sir I would like to ask how to fix mistakes on my ds 260 as i have done a lot of mistakes made on my ds 260 form

    1. Mistakes on part of given names, Didn’t include all middle names! Just first names 😥

    2. Didn’t put my highschool and grade school degree, i only put only my college degree! 😥

    3. I checked ‘No’ to previous address which should have been a ‘YES’ (Reason is that my current address is just a 3 minutes away from my previous address which is my parent’s house, as i am currently living with my in-laws, it’s just different from the name of street but in the same barangay) i misunderstood, knowing that i should only put address on PREVIOUS ADDRESS i been resided outside my address which I’ve never been.

help me please! How to correct please help 😓 so worried right now.

Are you at the NVC stage or embassy.  You will have to contact them (whichever phase you are at)

  2. under administrative review. got letter , 221g docs submission. needed an updated CENOMAR (Cert of Non Marriage Record) . I presented them my old CENOMAR taken yr 2015, but it was not accepted.. and even we are already married for 4yrs and gave them a new marriage certificate taken just this year. they still asked me for the new CENOMAR.. i already sent back my updated CENOMAR together with my passport to the embassy. not sure how long we need to wait for an update from them.

Embassy requires the "CENOMAR" (listed in the 5 steps online), even though when married PSA issues a CEMAR (Certificate of Marriage).  Normally they don't want those to be older than 6 mos for the interview.

Embassy is usually very quick to repackage and return

      Do you have CFO completed?

Those tears look to be 4-5 inches long, or is it just a fold in the envelope?   If the tears are long then get them repackaged.

If they are short tears, like an inch or so I wouldn't bother.

Keep the DO NOT OPEN envelopes in the plastic, then in your carry-on bag for your flight.

  6. I think I know the answer....

    But a K-1 visa....is only good for one entry....no matter what...right?

Something came up...and she went back.... We are still within the 90 day window.... Is there any way...to get her back here....other than starting over?

    Thanks.

    1. Hank_

      Hank_

Process would take roughly a year.  Plus side is she will receive her green card upon entry into the USA, no need for AOS like with the K-1.

  8. Hi!

Under Eb-3 immigrants visa. I was still single when i completed the DS-260 form. When my PD became current i added my husband as dependent.

We were interviewed in manila us embassy at the same time and provided our marriage certificate.

I was not able to ask the personel during the pre-screening to update my marital status.

My visa was issued, but single status.

I am still using my maiden name in all my documents..

my question is, can I use the issued visa with single status in the port of entry? And provide our marriage certificate., or i have to return my passport and visa packet to US embassy manila for correction.  Thanks very much!

The visa should follow the original petition, which states single .. I would not stress on this.   If you are really concerned call the embassy, but I would bet they will tell you the same.

Your passport still in your maiden name?

Having a copy of your marriage certificate for POE won't hurt, sort of doubt they will ask for it though.

Your husband's visa approved as well?

      Contacting the Embassy

  9. Hello,

Please help me with my concerns:

    1. I already submitted my DS 160 and got confirmation 2 weeks before I even  booked my interview appointment which is on  Feb 27; however upon reviewing my answers I believed I made some lapses: my mother's birth year was typed 1956 instead of 1936; my very first passport way back 1994 was no longer in my possession- whether it was kept my by mother who is dead now, or it was kept by ex-husband who is also dead, I do not have this passport anymore.

    2.  What is the difference between a homemaker and a housewife.  I am a widow ( since 2013), so I suppose I fall under homemaker category- but I am also NOT WORKING-UNEMPLOYED since Nov 2016, and my fiance has been supporting me and my two boys although I do have considerable savings and I have lived a good life even before meeting my fiance because I used to teach abroad for 12 years. What should I click in the DS 160--- is it NOT EMPLOYED or homemaker?

    3.  Am  I allowed to submit a NEW/REVISED DS 160 before my interview date?  What should I do during my interview date?

    Please guide me.

    1. Hank_

      Hank_

Yes you can complete a new DS-160 then bring the new confirmation page to your interview (toss the old confirmation in the trash).

      Other thoughts and questions:

Are your boys listed on the I-129F petition, are they applying for a K-2 visa?   If yes, then everything you do must be done in triplicate. (for each child).   Did you setup interview appointments for your boys?

Do you have a police certificate from the foreign country where you were employed?    Some countries are listed as waiver countries.

Homemaker/housewife, doesn't really matter, the DS-160 was created for other types of visas, some questions aren't related to the K-1 but you must complete the form never the less ... ;)

  10. Thank you for your post Hank about "accepting assets."

I'm past the age that I could retire, but why retire when your benefits increase at about 8% per year?  They'll have to drag me kicking and screaming away from work, assuming that I like my next job....

In life there are times when silence is golden   :)

I hope you can stay the course, without issue... ;)

  11. Your link brings me to VisaConnection- Philippines with a batch of links.  Looking more closely under the grayed out sub links such as USCIS I can see “I-129 Petition Process” and “I-130 Petition Process” but these appear non-active.  When I click on one I get:

    403 - Forbidden Error

You are not allowed to access this address.

If the error persists, please contact the website webmaster.

So you unlocked  one level but all the other levels appear unlocke.

For instance, I can reach your index: http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/index.html

So then I go to “Visa Application: USEM

    That brings me to:

“There are only two visa processes at USEM we will cover:

    • K-1, Fiancee Visa, which is a non-immigrant visa by status, yet processed as an immigrant visa at USEM.

But if I then click on what appears to be an active link I get a 403 again.

Perhaps it’s something on my computer?  The new Firefox has created plenty of issues recently.

Thanks for the answer.... at least now I understand why you wondered why I could not see it all.

I sort of thought you were on a VPN, that is why I asked for your IP address last week.

I had a major attack back in March, DDOS, 1 million hits from 10,000 different IP addresses .. brought my little website down.  Mostly Russia, Ukraine and China ... which are added to the deny list each time they show up.  Most VPNs are now restricted, and I add them to the deny list when they show up.    Even blocked myself out as I use a VPN ...

All the links in the drops down are sort of dim, but active.

This is the page you show start with and will lead you to all the others.   http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Excellent news! It was probably sitting at shipping waiting to be shipped out to NVC.
