hk9302010 reacted to Bumbero in Does status "Issued" in CEAC means my visa is already for dispatched?
No issued means the visa has been issued. That doesn't mean it's been printed and picked up by courier.
Track it on 2go's website or ustraveldocs website.
If you use 2go's website use the UID number from your appointment letter, your PP number OR MNL#. Try all 3
OR just wait for a text from 2go!
Good luck!

Can everyone please update their timeline. I know, I know I'm one to talk lol. But there's no way to update timelines using the mobile version but I just googled update timeline visa journey and it took me back to the regular site where u can update it. When I first started googling the embassy in Yemen there was almost no useful information. Now Alhamdullilah I feel like this site, especially this thread, is really helpful for those who will be dealing with the U.S. embassy in Yemen.

Actually it's a small white slip, not pink, and it says please come for your visa pick-up on Jan. 26 at 11:00 a.m. It has our case number written on it and it says to bring some form of ID. We have a copy of his passport and his Yemen ID so we'll be taking both iA.
My husband said there were 200 people there. And he heard the guards talking about how there were 800 people the day before that. All either have appointments, drop offs, pick-ups, passports etc.
He also said he didn't see that young white lady who interviewed him. He said all the windows had counclers and everyone was saying they're all new to the embassy. They seemed to be moving along faster in my opinion, disregarding my visa journey. I wasn't expecting a call till March but alhamdulilah.

And sometimes they slow things down because they feel like it. The US embassy of Sana'a is known for being rude, disorganized, and pushing people around whenever they feel like it. Good luck to us all.

My husband is still on his way home from Sana'a so I haven't seen or read the slip but he told me it was pink.
I don't think it matters, white or pink. I read somewhere here that they will either give you a white or pink slip and they both mean visa pick-up. Just a few more days till your pick up, wait it out and your spouse will have the visa in hand insha'Allah.

OK GReat news. Finally got a call from the Embassy to go and pick up her passport with HER VISA IN IT !! Yippee !!
Over six weeks in Administrative Processing , but finally a great outcome.

hk9302010 reacted to tommysanfran in interview successful, approved but visa not in hand over a week
Well she missed her intended flight. NO visa in hand yet. Thank God we were able to cancel her air ticket. Which costs 1300 dollars ONE WAY. And get that back in 21 days minus a charge of 75 dollars !
At least did not lose the whole ticket.
That was with ORbitz.
Still counting the days and waiting waiting waiting. Hey guess what? You are approved but we won't give you the visa !! Until such time as we feel like it.
That is what it seems to be.

hk9302010 reacted to tommysanfran in interview successful, approved but visa not in hand over a week
Yup, wish i had read more about this exact thing happening. Getting "Approved" but put into the black hole that is ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. Where they don't have to give you an answer as to how long they plan to keep you there. Or why you are even there. It is truly a black hole.
Booked a flight and quit her job on the strength of the Consul saying she's approved turned out to be pretty dumb a move to make.
Word to the wise. WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THAT VISA IN HAND before you make any plans !!!!
I can't say this enough now.

hk9302010 reacted to Darnell in interview successful, approved but visa not in hand over a week
is possible it's in administrative processing for some reason.
1. check status at ceac.state.gov and
2. call DoS Hotline when they are open, inquire for casefile status.

hk9302010 reacted to tommysanfran in interview successful, approved but visa not in hand over a week
Yes they kept passport and said can come get visa with a day on it, but that day came and she went to get visa and they said need more admin work? Very strange.
How to check online current status?

Hi Tommysanfran, do not need to be worry, ur fiancée will get her visa soon. Just give them time because it's a weekend. the important that they keep ur fiancée's passport.
Did ur fiancée get small white slip approval with a date on it after her interview?
Usually the CO will give small white approval slip after interview passed and showing what date we can pick up our visas. Other wise if CO still needed another docs requirement from us they will give us 221g paper. And probably it will take a time till we submit it.
U can check ur fiancée status application, so u will know better what going on with her processing. Mine I check my status application on CEAC before.
I got my interview in July18th,2013 but i am not got approval at same date. I got 221g after my interview but the CO keep my passport anyway. They said they don't need any docs from me. Just ask me to wait until they can fixed my case and they will call me if they ready with my visa. When I ask them how long I have to wait. They said don't know can't promise. Really that time I was so depressed too. July19th my fiancé called to USEM. And was surprising they ask me to pick up my visa on July24th. So mine just delay 1 day.
So, please just wait if ur fiancée status changed to be ISSUE that's mean ur fiancée ready to pick up her visa, usually USEM will send an email and let us know when we should pick up our visas.
Be optimist, hope this week u will hear the great news from USEM and ask ur fiancée to pick up her visa.
My prayers and best wishes for both of u....

hk9302010 reacted to ScottThuy in blue, pink and white slips
Thats normal for HCMC lately... just get those docs to them and unless there is some issue they have with the case they will issue a pink then... she can go early to submit them, but it depends on if the CO is there whether they will accept them... check the VN regional and the interview schedule that is pinned and on page 1 you will see what others have had happen...
If you fill in your timeline I can add your info to the list...
moving from K1 process to VN regional..

hk9302010 reacted to ScottThuy in blue, pink and white slips
The color of the paper is not as important as what it says on the paper.. At HCMC they can use a white for denial as well as 221g request for additional evidence.. What did the document say? Pink at HCMC is always approval.. other than that could be white green or blue..
Take a moment and fill in your timeline and other info such as what type of visa applied for.....

I was wrong when I said we sent in our papers a few days after our appt. It was actually a week after and they recieved them the next day. So they recieved our documents on Nov. 4 and my husband got a call to come in on Dec. 17 a few days ago. So a little over a month.
On that note, my husband got the pink slip today to come back in on Janruary 26, 2014 to pick up his visa.

hk9302010 reacted to ScottThuy in Told not to pick up visa?
Delays in visa processing happen... they will likely call her to say when it is ready... lucky for you guys.. many consulates dont have the courtesy to call.. they let you travel accross the country only to be told to come back a week or two later...

My fiance went to pick up his visa Friday from Haiti messenger. They told him it is not ready come back Saturday. My fiance went this morning they told him it is not ready come back Tuesday. We are waiting. I don't know what the problem is.

hk9302010 reacted to Brooklyn Man in Passport taken but no visa given: sana'a yemen
I agree with shayma's message. Check the site that shayma provided in the post above and check if the visa has been issued. The same thing happened to me and it took about a month to receive the call back for pickup. Apparently the site said the visa was issued and the embassy did not have the folder package put together for pickup. All will be well, it is just a matter of time for them to call you.

hk9302010 reacted to DebbyNSeyi in VISA NOT READY FOR PICK UP????!!!
Don't worry...I've heard of these delays before in Lagos. There are so many times that the visas are not ready when they are supposed to be. My husband is scheduled to pick up his visa from VFS Global in Lekki tomorrow morning (his visa was approved the same day as yours!) It will be nice if it's ready but I won't be that surprised if it's not. That's why we're waiting until he physically has the visa in his hand before we book his airfare. My congrats to you and your husband...don't stress...just be patient for a bit longer!

hk9302010 reacted to SweetHome_Alabama in Has this happened to anyone?
Fianally I was able to talk to someone after several attempts at the Consulate and the lady looked up our case number. She said his visa is now ready for pick-up that they had some delays the last couple of days..Their office is now closed so he can come Monday at 3 to pick it up. I told her about no green slip for approval and she said it's ok, he will not have to have it. He can just show his ID card. She assured me that the Visa is definately there today.

Hello.....My hsuband was APPROVED for his visa on Mon Sept 27,2010...He was told at the interview to come on wednesday at 3pm to pick up his visa. It will be ready! They kept his passport too.
He gets a call back to bring his photos for visa that the Co Interviewer FORGOT to ask him for and the consulate told him to come early in the A.M. so he can still pick up his visa by 3 pm.....He gets there on Wednesday and waited all day and NO VISA....they tell him and about 14 others to come back TODAY Sept 30th and it will be ready.....so he gets there in the early morning and I am told he and the others waited in line all day from morning til 6pm in the hot sun....they couldn't get near the consulate or entrance to ask about visa but consulate sent a man out to tell them all still no visa and come back a THIRD time,lol....which is tomorrow and Friday...no apologies and no explainations....no personal phone calls telling of the delays! Now his boss is very upset and told my husband if he doesn't want to work and missing, they will let him go...so he was torn between going again to Casa or go to work.....I advised him to go to work and try again next week to not make another wasted trip.......in talking with my husband about this issue tonight, I found out the interviewer also FORGOT to give him any slip of paper for approval, denial, or Ap...all the others waiting with him had green approved slips. Another man in line who was told he was approved was told he needed to bring back tax records or AOS which was a C-1 case too...Now my husbnad is worried they will tell him this too since ours were turned in at NVC stage and the interviewer did not ask for another copy or our AOS or 2007-2009 tax transcripts the day of........why can't the consulate tell our loved ones "we will call you when your visa is ready"...what is going on with this??? Has anyone ever had this problem with Morocco consulate who might can shed some light and give me advise or answers...i tried calling NVC and the operator said he did not have results in their computer since our case left NVC....Do I contact the Department of state? I know calling the consulate we may not get them tro answer and my husband did call consulate before going and they told several of these men to come and everything is ok and they travel these hrs and waste money (qwhich most don't have to begin with) and they get to casa and no VISA. My husband is now sick from the sun and very very upset and felt they were treated like animals and never told them I am sorry and he may be losing his job tomorrow over this absence.....what would you advise us to do in this situation?wait it out and let them contact him whenever???
