reginakrys got a reaction from Saylin in QUESTIONS ABOUT NVC DOCUMETS
His passport. This is for the immigrant visa application, so all documents for the IV package must be of the beneficiary's. Yes, he should get one. Otherwise, where will they put his visa?

reginakrys got a reaction from Saylin in NVC EMAIL PROB?? ;(
As it says in the message, it's just an auto-response.. It sits on queue for an actual officer to read and answer it. In my experience, they responded about a week after I sent them an inquiry.
If you've already included those information they require regarding the petitioner and beneficiary, don't send another one. Wait for them to reply.

reginakrys got a reaction from Mark&Fatima in Help! Can anyone tell me what the Currnet travel tax is?
The terminal fee and travel tax are two different things. The terminal fee used to be 750, but now reduced to 550. The travel tax is 1,620.

reginakrys got a reaction from Mark&Fatima in CAn we interview without the medical?
I haven't undergone the medical but I know that the St. Luke's website specifically states that those having their menstrual periods cannot undergo examination.
"Female applicants of child-bearing age cannot undergo medical examination during their menstrual period. Applicants who have their menstrual period should come back one week after the last day of their period."

You will receive the NOA-2 once your petition is approved. Since they're still "officially" on September 10th, we can't put in service requests since our priority dates are in October.
No, after the USCIS stage, we still have to undergo the NVC stage where we will pass our affidavit of support papers (AOS packet) from the petitioner, and the immigrant visa papers (IV packet) from the beneficiary. After that, we have to wait for them to close our case and send our files to the embassy in our country. We will then have to under a medical exam and an interview. Only after we get approved by the embassy, do we get our visas.
And oh, for the Philippines, we have to undergo a CFO counselling seminar and get a CFO sticker in order for immigration to let us out of the country.

reginakrys got a reaction from amerisian in do i have to file i-130 and g-325a ?
Fill out one for yourself, and another for your wife. You sign your G325-A, she signs hers. And oh, the signatures need to be original, not scanned, faxed, or photocopied.

Sis, ALWAYS refer to the official website if you have doubts, don't rely on word-of-mouth. Things may have changed since the time your "friends" filed their petition. In this case, look at what the USCIS website currently says.
Use guides only after checking the official guide from the correct government website. Even here in VJ, there might be links to outdated forms.
