GOT A JOB OFFER! YAYYYY! so excited! It's within my field, for a British company - 5 weeks of vacation pr. year and a pretty good pay Couldn't be happier!

We dont know yet if we are staying or not. I have applied for a bunch of jobs but it's harder than I thought. Most say I am overqualified for administrative positions and I dont have enough experience for most of the positions that require a master degree. So still job hunting :/

Got my EAD yesterday and went to the social security office today. They said it can take up to 4 weeks before I get my social security card. (I Hope not!) To get my drivers permit DMV require that I have EAD and social sec. -hurry up!

anybody living in Hudson Valley area NY? My husband got a job offer at West Point and we're trying to figure out whether to move there (from Cali) or not.

I know. I love New York. Just never imagined that I would be living there. Well West Point is like 80 miles north of NYC but I'd probably have to work in NYC and commute by train. He got an amazing offer and I would feel terrible being the one to stop him from pursuing his dreams. BUT if we go, he promised we will be back in Cali when we start having kids lol!

Quick question I know I am supposed to bring a copy of the AOS package tht we submitted. I do have all the copies. Just wondering why we have to bring it? Do they look through them at the interview?
-
earlier today I made a post about how I wanted to know if we will have an interview or will be transfered. Just checked USCIS case status and it was updated today = AOS INTERVIEW ON SEPTEMBER 18!!! WUUHUUUU!

2 weeks since biometrics! can't wait to find out if we are getting transfered to CSC or will have an interview..?!
-
Quick question. My AOS is still on acceptance stage and it has been more than 5 weeks since NOA1. It says in the text on the USCIS site that the acceptance stage should take 2 business days. Should I be worried that it hasnt moved to initial review? I had my biometrics already and my EAD/AP is on initial review stage

Waiting to regain my independence! LOL! (I just wanna be able to work, drive and travel) #Not the stay at home type!

Biometrics tomorrow! Finally! Hoping for a speedy EAD/AP approval

Having one of those days where I really miss my family, my friends my country etc. I am very blessed to be with an amazing man in a beautiful place. But that doesnt mean that you can't have a bad day. Immigration can be tough

Biometrics on August 3rd. Ahh I love when things are moving along like this. Not as exhausting as a 5 month k1 visa wait

Hmm I don't remember that form. But when you sign the form/checklist that I emailed you, you also confirm that you are willing to take the earliest available date. And yes, I did get "package 4" via email. It's basically just telling you the date.

It breaks my heart to read all the sad stories on VJ about failing marriages, abuse, lies etc. I have an amazing husband who loves me and treats me like a queen. Everybody deserves that! Claim it!
