Met online in 2010. Came to visit him February 14, 2011. Never went home. Been with my soulmate over one year in the same place and could never imagine a day without him.
BTW, if you register to vote, even if voting abroad, I think that count that as establishing domicile. You probably don't need to since (hopefully) you guys will be back in the States by election time.
