  2. Hello, everyone!

I'm getting everything ready for filing (CR-1). Got all the forms filled out already and putting together the proof now. I made up this cover letter and was wondering if everythign looks good to go? or am I missing somethings/typo? Also should I put CR-1 somewhere on the cover letter? or does it really not matter.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

    Thank you!

  3. Dear i have a confusion disturbing from last few day,I would like to clear it from you.

Out of many documents...one of them which is important and most of us don't have initially is the Birth Certificate . Generally in India when we need this document and approach the authority they issue the certificate but if you notice the document, there are two dates.

    1. Birth Registration date.

    2. Certificate Issue date.

In our case these dates are mostly same. As per USA govt law these documents are not totally valid as birth registration date is not within the same year as the date of birth of the candidate. So for example if some one is born on Oct 11th 1965, the birth registration date should not be later than Oct 10th 1966

If they check the document they ask for additional supporting documents...and may ask to come for interview again at later point of time.

It happened with one of my relative....have you ever heard of it and what should I do in such situation???

  4. Sorry for getting out of topic but i have a confusion disturbing from last few day,I would like to clear it with my friends.

  5. While going through the Mumbai consulate just found that though the consulate office is moving to new BKC address but there will be no change in VFS location and there will be no bus service from VFS to consulate like before. Here is what they say...

    http://www.vfs-usa.co.in/USIndia/pdf/VFSMoveMessagetoApplicants_2.pdf

#Is VFS also relocating to the Bandra Kurla Complex?

At this time, VFS does not have plans to relocate. VFS will continue to operate its facility in Breach Candy, an area in south Mumbai.

#Will VFS provide bus service and lounge facilities?

At this time, VFS does not plan to provide transportation and lounge facilities for applicants to the Consulate’s

new facility in Bandra Kurla Complex. The nearest train stations are Bandra East and Kurla West.

  6. List for December 2011 Mumbai Interview is incomplete as people who got date of 30-Dec are not on the list so I guess scheduling has been done but document is not updated because there may be few more to come so there is still some outside chance for few more people to get December interview.

I did some analysis and conclusion is that Mumbai consulate will start service from good number of windows out of 44 windows available at new consulate.

Important point to note is that November didn’t have single F4 interview and December has 159 so that may explain the difference between November and December CR1 interviews.

    November 2011

Total immigrant visa interview scheduled: 261

    Total for CR1: 103

    Total for IR1: 2

December 2011 (There few dates still left)

Total immigrant visa interview scheduled: 361

    Total for CR1: 51

    Total for IR1: 9

Atleast there seems some hope. Thanks for the great work..

  7. I agree with this.

Mumbai consulate is testing the new consulate that will open on the 21st of this month. They have a lot of work cut out for them.

I feel they will hold back a month to make sure the facility is operating in a clean and fluid manner and come January they will open the gates and they should house more and more visa appointments.

It looks like they already added an additional 100 appointments for December compared to November. But who says they will increase the number of spouse visa's and not family based visa's? No one really knows!

You have to realize with the addition of more windows they must hire more people and train them. So theoretically they can have 44 windows but without more staff they don't have 44 windows open...

Their are a lot of variables I can think about this but please understand I know as much as you do as to what is going on in Mumbai consulate.

Hang strong and have patience... it's only the real advice I can give. Keep calling NVC daily and inquire about your case being scheduled an interview date.

    Good Luck!

I called up to NVC and they told that they will schedule the final December interview by next week. This means the list posted on Mumbai site is not yet complete, also the last date of interview as displayed there is 19th while in reality many people got Dec interview upto 30th so where are there names in the list? Guyz it seems there is still some hope.Let us keep our finger crossed.
