  1. Wife visa is approved!!!

It was very quick 5 mins interview. Just usual questions what your husband do? did you go to honeymoon? when did you first meet? How do you keep in touch (emails, phone etc.). She provided phone logs. They did not ask for any photographs of marriage. She had marriage photographs with her, though.

Total hours she spent in consulate was 2 hours. She was first in the line when she entered.

So, we are done with immigration process at consulate. Now POE is left and will be in February.

woooooooooooooooooooooooooow great news for us.Congrats dear!!

  2. Wife is soon going to leave for Mumbai. She is nervous (just want to be done with this), but I helped and talked to her out of nervousness as much as I can. Interview is on December 30th.

Hopefully, everything will be all right. I do want to thank all the VisaJourney members who have contributed to the forums. I have found many answers to my questions from here. It helped a lot. Thanks all.

I am sure she will be as happy after the interview as she is tensed now....don't worry our prayer is with you...everything will be fine:)

  3. Hi Anum, I didnt submitted AOS because I said I already did at NVC stage but I am planning to take latest tax return, pay stubs etc at time of interview.

Also dont wait for package4 because we already know whateve mention in it.

    Hi ACP,

    Thanks for your reply,

I got my appointment letter today though I have already submitted the required documents to VFS.

By the way how are you preparing for the Day.....what have you decided about the wedding i am planning just to carry few of the relevant photo out of it as as it will to heavy to carry in hand (keeping in mind they don't allow and hand bag or Back Pack inside the consulate)

    Thanks

    Anum

  4. Same here.. Medical done and Documents submitted to VFS...

I have a question.. what if DS230 submitted at VFS and NVC are not matching..

In my case I think DS230 submitted at VFS is missing telephone number in item#10.

Also I got the package 4 but its of no use because information in that packge is like interview letter and medical info etc. which I already finished.

    Congrats!!!

ACP have you submitted AOS to VFS? In my case they asked for it but i requested him that I will submit it at the time of interview.ACP have you submitted any proof to VFS?

No worries dear telephone no. is not a big thing it can be different, it is absolutely fine.

Me still waiting for the package 4 :(

  5. Hi Friends,

I have a question for our coming up interview in Mumbai. Since my wife is from Ahmedabad we could not submit the PCC with our application to NVC; rather we need to "bring" it to the interview. Ahmedabad passport office only issues PCC when you show the interview letter. We now have the interview letter and it says that we need to submit the PCC at the VFS office 10 days before the interview date. My question is: can we "bring" the PCC to the interview directly to Mumbai or do we HAVE to submit it to VFS office first? The reason i ask is that we need to get a police clearance first and then apply for a PCC. I am not sure how long Ahmedabad passport office will take to issue the PCC. At this point i am panicking thinking about "what if we don't get the PCC 10 days before for VFS". I may be panicking for no reason would feel better knowing that if i miss the +10 days for VFS i can still bring the PCC directly Mumbai...

    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Ankit,

If possible please try to visit VFS once and share your problem with them, this is not a big issue,I am sure they will allow you to carry it to consulate as ultimately you need it only on the interview date.

    Sincerely

    Anum

  6. Well, I've been viewing this website nearly every day the past 3-4 months.. just to see what people have been posting about their journeys and even freaking out because of the i-134 questions, but anyways, my fiance's interview was nearly 2 hours ago, and since of course I couldn't sleep, I stayed up and hearing the "We are approved" over the phone just made me even more excited to the point where I can't fall asleep!

I'm sure he will be posting or mentioning his interview result here. However I'd love to thank this website! You guys have helped us so much with answering like 95% of our questions! the other 5% well... we contacted the Embassy for that information!

Our main concern was the i-134 but the first lady didn't even bother to accept my co-sponsors according to James... apparently since I was employed part-time or full-time it didn't matter, the fact was that I was employed and that was enough for them! Might I add that I am a full time college student as well! And even better, the first lady was super nice to him! But well, the CO had a few questions :innocent:

Some questions were about how we met, and such. It was pretty brief. But of course like most people, we brought much much evidence, best to be well prepared than not have enough! I don't believe that was mentioned but by how few questions asked, it seems like most of the stuff the CO didn't even see! The only problem was that he mentioned the income was pretty tight. They asked how he would support himself and James told them about his bank account as well and that he was here for 3 months nearly (like 80 days) earlier this year and was WELL supported. Plus he talked about getting a job when he could to help support us even more and going to attend College. I only have 2 more years of University, then I will have a bachelors in forensic science so the income will definitely improve on my part in the future!

I guess it just really depends on the CO that you get... truly and we got an understanding one, that's for sure.

They mentioned to him about the AoS stage and that we would be using those co-sponsors then, as they are in the same household anyway (which is awe-some) which from what I read you can combine their incomes.

And well, the result, approved! & they took his passport and said it will arrive within 5-10 days, sometimes it can take 3-4 but ... all I know is that all the hard work and dedication has paid off, big time. :)

If anybody has questions... I don't know if I can answer... but I'm sure James could answer about the Embassy itself. It's the Holiday season and the best Christmas gift would be an approval... at least that was mine.

Thank you for your help! We are excited. & We will be sticking around on VisaJourney! And.. I do view VisaJourney through my cell phone as well!

And to those who have interviews nearby or still in the process regarding whatever Embassy they must go to and all that paperwork, best of luck to you and hope your journey goes well!!

Thanks again to this website and all the contributors! =]

    Congrats Dear

  7. I, the petitioner, plan on handling all the paperwork and processing for my wife, the beneficiary. Since I will be back and forth between the US and Colombia, I am wondering if on form 3032 I can list my close friend's address, but list myself as the agent. That way, any mail would go to his house and he could notify me by email that it got there. Does the NVC send any actual mail, or is it all email correspondence now? Should I just list myself as the agent and my address in Colombia to receive the mail?

I'm looking for the quickest possible avenue. If the correspondence is just email at this point, I will list my address in the US that I list on all documents. The problem arises that I would have trouble knowing when something arrives.

It is better to assign yourself as agent as now-a-days most of the NVC communication is Via e-mail so there is not much to worry about, just give both you and your wife's email address. NVC will send both of you a soft copy before actually mailing anything in this way you can know like when you will be receiving any post from NVC , most of the time you don't even need the hard copy just the soft copy is enough.

  8. Can my husband go to his doctor where he lives and get the vaccines done instead of having them at the consulate medical center and then just bring his papers? Does he need them translated?

Yes he can get his medical done form some authorized doctor and carry the record at the time of medical check up, in fact it will quite cost effective. yup, he needs to translate it in english.

Any document you are carrying that are in other language you must get it translated in English by authorized person.
