  1. I called yesterday and told them about forgetting to include some documents and the lady said they will contact me when they need something. When I asked her how long is it going to take, she read the message off the site and said CSC takes about 5 months. You'll have to wait until then...

  2. I assume YOU are the beneficiary (non USC). Depending on what country you are from will indicate where you need to obtain a certificate of being single.

As far as police records, you must obtain official records from anyplace that you lived since the age of 16.

IF you are the petitioner (USC), then YOU don't need to obtain these records (other than divorce records if applicable).

In either event, you really should do some studying about this process before you begin. Start by reading the K-1 guide posted on this site.

omg!! So, does that mean my fiance needs a document of being single? I didn't send anything like that w/ my application :(

  3. Mine's 1 more month to go! I'm hoping they process my case soon and send me RFE (forgot name change documents for my fiance and me) :( called the USCIS today and talked about that name change documents.. she thought my name on the file was incorrect she sounded pissed. I told her that i forgot to include my name change documents.. and she's like "okay, they'll contact you so you don't have to worry about it" I asked how long is it gonna take until they contact me (tried to act stupid) she's basically checking my case status... and read the message off that "initial review" and said.. you case is still w/in normal timeline... it's going to take 5 months.. blah blah blah.. that lady isn't happy working there... I could tell from her voice! lol

  4. Joon lived in Thailand for a good part of her life I think...so we can't say that she doesn't know.

Anyway, I think we all get that some aspects of Thailand suck. Ice talks about how most Thai people hate Thailand anyway.

I just miss the old days... I think when I was young, people treated people better than this. Today, it's all about money....

  5. You really don't think the system works like that here do you? You're gunna open a can of screw the pooch....

And to put it bluntly..you cost the guy his job, you may just end your life. #######.

yeah i know how their system works... Their system is corrupted... you say something right, you could be dead in the next second.... That's why you don't go there and start sh!t yourself..... hahaha ;p

  6. Hehe. You obviously don't understand Thailand. What's right and what's wrong? Let me tell ya. Getting dinged for 500 THB for throwing a cigarette butt on the ground. Getting thrown in the clink in Lat Phrao after my ex's sister stabbed me. Getting pulled over daily on the Chonburi motorway for 100 THB because I'm farang. Getting ripped off by taxi drivers at Don Meuang on a regular basis.

Get over yourself. It's f**cking Thailand. Deal with it.

Oh..trust me I know it's F@#%king Thailand. I pretty much grew up there... And yes.. I'm going to deal w/ it.....

  7. Hello, my fellow, beautiful, and wonderful V.Jer's.

OMG!!! I am so happy. In shock, but happy. I really want to say that being on this forum and having so many people in the same boat has been the greatest support. Thank you all so much, for listening, giving advice and generally sharing.

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!

    Update your timeline now!

  8. Ok, I'm going to see if I can offend everyone in one post...

All men everywhere will do stupid things for pretty girls. This character flaw isn't exclusive to American men. However, most American men are not as gullible as many Filipinas seem to think they are. In many cases, these guys know darn well that these girls don't really love them. He might only want a sex toy who will treat him like she loves him for a few years. Most of the time, they're just hoping she hangs around and plays nice until he either dies or gets tired of her. Many times these guys go into these relationships knowing that it isn't going to last more than a few years. The sad truth is that many East Asian and Pacific Island girls don't age very well. They're adorable when they're young, but start to deteriorate rapidly when they hit their mid 20's.

...Jim ducks while the Filipinas start throwing kitchen utensils at him...

This isn't really any different from rich old men in the US who marry young trophy wives. These guys know that these girls marry them for their money. As long as the girl acts like his wife then they're generally ok with that. If she does anything to humiliate him, like fooling around on the side, then the relationship is over.

A lot of the men who go to the Philippines are average looking older men with average incomes. These guys wouldn't have a prayer of getting a young trophy wife in the US, but it doesn't take nearly as much to get a young wife in a poor country. There are several reasons this happens a lot in the Philippines. For one thing, the country has a long and sordid history of sex tourism, like many Southeast Asian countries. For another, there's no strong cultural aversion in the Philippines to older men marrying younger women, especially when there's a financial advantage for the bride.

Obviously, the above doesn't apply to everyone. There are many many relationships which are genuine and sincere on both sides. I'm just saying that not all of the guys who are getting played are totally unaware of it. In many cases, they're playing each other.

Yeah sometimes I do think they do play each other! Not only in Philippines, in any country.....

  9. Everyone is different on preference about soulmate or whatever it is we called for. For example, my preference is that I would not going to marry someone who as older as my father that we have 26 years difference gap. My fiance has preference not dated a girl with more than 15 years age gap.. So we are match. But, of course our preference can't be use and apply to others relationship preference.

Most important, age does not matter as long as you are both can get a long each other. My fiance told me, most important we have good communication and interest that we can match. You don't have to like all for what your partner likes but at least there is something to talk and discuss about. We can talk many hours for different topics from various things like politic, music, songs, astronomy, etc.etc. I can keep up even we have age gap and he does as well.

I was reading somewhere on VJ that there is a husband back from work and his wife watching Hannah Montana. His wife 21 year old and he is 47 year old. The marriage only last a month, if I don't make mistake to recalls the story.

I mean AGAIN age does not matter as long as both of you enjoy to create blisfull relationship. Someone can have very big problem with their age difference but look at Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. They are both happy even he is 25 years senior than her.

I think marriage is not like we just being together for short time. This is for the rest of life. No matter how beautiful or handsome or younger your partners are but when you can't have good communication the relationship would going to doom. Those physhical things easy to fade away and only good heart would stay forever.

I only say, you can ask your heart about it because heart never lies. Good luck, good.gif

I like Catherine Zeta Jones... She's the beast! hahaha j/k

  10. Go ahead and report him... I hope you have another Amphur you can use if you do. ( Maybe like in Lampang  )..like some others have stated..forget it and press on.

Stiring the pot can make life harder here for ya.. just sayin'

My fiance got his letter so we're good for now.. but if we find out the letter the guy wrote for him is useless at his interview, then I'm going to start some sh!t.. It's not how life would be harder for us.. it's about what's right and what's wrong and being treated like a human being...

  11. If the office is processing a particular type of application in less time than our processing goal, you will see the processing times expressed in months (for example, if the office is processing naturalization applications in less than our 5 month goal, the processing time will state “Five Months”). However, if that office is taking longer than our processing goal to handle the form type in question, you will see the filing date (e.g., “April 10, 2003”) of the last case we processed on the date the website chart was last updated. The charts are updated on or about the 15th day of each month.

On their chart, I-129F processing time is 5 months. It gives me hope that it'll be less than 5 months...
