  1. How many G-325A's should i send to USCIS? someone told me 4 is that correct?

hmm I just sent 1 for my fiance and 1 for myself. Why would you want to send 4 copies?

  2. Most men in the village never been in the military and people didn't look for them because the location where they lived is like out of no where. It's the misunderstanding in the village I guess. What I don't understand is why didn't they try to stop him from going to australia? Didn't they check his military status or record? or even mention that he needs to be in military?

But yeah, he's going to talk to them. and w/ his education he might volunteer to do the 6 months program w/o taking the chance of drawing the black/red ball.

we'll see.... I can wait.. Just worried about NOA2 being expired. Thanks Ning, for the info.

  3. My fiance turned 29 in Jan. He was born and raised in a place where he thought it was an exempted location and no one even mentioned being in military back then so he never bothered to go in for recruitment when he turned 21 thinking he didn't need to. he went to study in Australia for a few years... came back last year... We didn't talk about it until we looked at packet 3 info and he needs military record/exempt letter. When he went up to Amphur and they said nothing they could do. They'll have recruitment on April 1st.

I just don't know what to do anymore. Our case is approved and NVC already sent our application to Thailand. Can I post pone our appt? or packet 3 or packet 4? Let's say if he goes in military for a year, would I need to reapply for k1 visa through the USCIS again? I tried to search info online but didn't come out w/ many info.

  4. Both my fiance and I changed our names and we never included those documents w/ our application and thought I would get RFE for that but we never did. I got RFE for proof of meeting and Intent to Marry letter instead. I only sent those in and my case's approved. Just send in what they asked you to and if your case approved, ask her to bring those proofs of name change at the interview, in case if they asked for them.

  5. Another thing I forgot is about 2 weeks after NVC has sent your paperwork to the embassy call back NVC and ask if your paperwork has been received by the embassy. If it has been received you could send packet 3 to the embassy, you do not need to wait until you receive packet 3 from the embassy.

Thank you so much for the information! This helps/reassures me that I'm on the right track. :)

  6. I've been doing some reading on what to do after receiving NOA2. There's a lot of information and I still am confused or not so sure of what to do. Maybe some of you ladies and gentlemen might be able to help me? :energy:

So I received a hard copy of NOA2 on the 7th of Jan. It says on there that I should wait 2-4 weeks for NVC to process our application. From what I'm reading, most people just call NVC to get their case number? Does that mean if I don't call we wouldn't get our case number? Does NVC send case number to the USC here and the beneficiary in another country as well? and some people able to receive the case number through email?

Let's just say I called and we got our case number, when my fiance does his medical exam/gets the police record can he just give them that case number w/o a hard copy from the NVC? or maybe a copy of NOA2 would work? :reading:

Both packet 3 and 4 will be sent to my fiance right? a lot of people download these forms from the website. So we did too and the dates on some of these forms are expired. Can my fiance use these outdated forms to fill out still?

When we send packet 3, we just need to send copies of the proofs they're asking for because he'll have to take his original documents to the interview w/ him?

For medical exam and immunization. since he doesn't have shot record, he'll need all the shots. I'm just wondering what shots are required by the US? When I went to the embassy website, there are many shots listed. I don't mind him getting his vaccination done here in the U.S when we adjust the status.

Finally, paying for his visa fee. Do I have to pay online through NVC website? or does he need to pay at the US embassy on the date of his interview? or both? Can he pay w/ cash? or it has to be through postal service in Thailand?

Thanks in advance for taking time reading and replying this post

Please move this post if it's not in the right forum....

  7. I bet you and I do have the same person who's looking at our case! LOL.. wait a couple more weeks and then call again.. They didn't look at our case until 2-3 weeks after our 5 months marked and now we got RFE... so we'll be waiting for a couple more months(I hope it isn't taking that long)! hahahaha right now just enjoy your holiday

  8. I attached a file for my RFE.. please check and see what I really need to send in? I already sent a couple of our photos but w/o date stamps... and when I looked at this request... "copies of passport pages that show the identification and admission stamps" is in bold... so does that mean I should just make a copy of my passport admission page and bio page? and not to include anything else? I don't want make any mistakes again... thank you for your help...

  9. I received a letter to rewrite intent to marry statement and proof of meeting in person. Proof of meeting in person can be copies of passport pages that show the identification page and admission stamps. I'm sure I already sent the admission stamps but not the identification page. Secondary evidence may include film-dated photographs.... How do I print photos w/ the dates on them?

another question is... we both changed our first name at some point in our lives... but we didn't send proof of name change w/ our application, so should I include that or only include what they're asking for?

    Thanks in advance
