YAY! hopefully case number ASAP! Try calling them up and asking if there is any way they will expedite giving you a case number since you've been waiting so long for the case to be received, it'll be really crappy if you end up waiting a month for case number too!!

You're not stupid. You will be surprised of how easy his life will be in the States once everything is set and done. CR-1 takes a while, but you will see all the benefits at the end. Green Card and SSN within 3 or 4 weeks vs. Months. Ability to work right away vs. paying extra money to adjust status and having to wait for months. Think positive and stay focus
