5 weeks to get greencard in the mail ?

Hello guys, i got approved on sept 7 2016 and until now i did not receive my greencard in the mail yet, is this normal or not .?

It has been a long journey for me through the visa, and greencard process, and i am about to start filling N 400 for my citizenship if it is possible.

I came here to USA on may 1, 2014 on a CR1 visa,and i am wondering if i am qualified to start the N400 in january 2017.? Since i would be within the 3 years period of being married and living in the USA.

hello dwheels76 i had my interview last monday which was April 7th and after being asked so many questions the consular officer handed me my passport back and told me to wait for a phone call within 2 weeks and she did not give me any 221g or any form and which i checked the CEAC website it is still stating READY which i don't understand what this could mean is it an AP ? please if you can help me with any kind of informations i would be appreciated or you seen any case before had the same situation as mine and what was the result.

Called NVC to inquire about a request to expedite due to the escalation in Kiev, only to be met by the rudest operator I have spoken to over the phone since i had to deal with countrywide/bank of america a few years ago. WTH? these people are paid to be professional CUSTOMER SERVICE agents. she was horrible. /end rant

try to fill an expedite request through your congressman or senator office that is more easier than to deal with them directly

I'm not sure why you think that the guy will be a danger to her. That's for her to figure out at the first place. Why you spent $$$ and time visiting him and his family and decided to not marry him later on??? What happened? Why you change your mind? Think abt him leaving his family and life behind for you, because you have promised him "AMERICA" then suddenly you let him down. Take a second to put yourself in his shoes. That's being mean, and as human being we are not supposed to treat each other like that. At least, give the guy an opportunity to have some legal document before letting him go, so he can get a job and a chance to meet someone else and start a new life.

Anyway,I might not have the best answer, but i think you are not playing fair. Maybe there are facts that we are missing and the other side of the story that he will not be able to tell us, therefore my judgement will be biased. And beside, i don't know your age, but this remind me my teenage years, where we were stupid and picky, and egoist, and narcissistic and Hitlerstic ( made up) and ,,,,,,, .

i am with you in this ,,,,immigration is not a game to play by because the honest ones pays for it and i really don't like this...he traveled all this way to be with you and then changed the mind easily that way and wasting time online talking wasting money and even making the immigration process even more harder for the ones who will come in the future....PLEASE people be aware and know each other before go through this process because by these mistakes you are bringing new immigration laws and making it even more worse for the future immigrants

hello everyone there are some operators at the NVC are really don't need to be working over there i called today to check out about my AOS checklist then i have been told by an operator that they reviewed the AOS checklist today i will get a checklist and then i called again and i have been told by an operator to give 30 business days and when i told her what i found out from the other operator she said the AOS checklist under review i really am lost i don't know which to believe this is sucks

great news you got today from the NVC as for the IV package got reviewed and accepted and don't worry the AOS checklist will be reviewed ..so the IV package they reviewed they scanned it into the system on December 31 which tells me they are working now on the January cases

Called NVC yesterday...

Still they said.. we haven't opened your checklist packet now

you can call the NVC today and ask an operator about if they reviewed and accepted the IV package since they received it on December 31

when you call the NVC and talk to an operator you can ask about if your IV package got reviewed and accepted and this is the way i did last time and i found out they did review and accept the IV package.

My AOS was processed on 18th and I got a checklist.

ohh i am sorry..i did get a checklist too as for my AOS and i did respond on it and the NVC got it in the system on January 2 and i am waiting since then to hear from them...when did the NVC scanned your checklist in their system?

Our case was officially completed as of 1/16/14. What a relief after spending almost a year at the NVC!

Now we wait for the interview date

Called to NVC last Wednesday 15th and they told me our case was just complete that day, so how many time do we have to wait for the proper email or advice that is officially complete and then the interview at Juarez?

I just spoke to someone was on hold for almost 30 min he was so rude and just sorry we don't have your case yet u have to wait 8 weeks.... Oh really because I waited 10 months for an approval why not just wait another 8 weeks right... So rude!

i am sorry for you to get this rude person at the NVC...i dealt with these rude persons at the NVC but i just didn't give them that much attention i just kept focusing on the petition and i call twice to three times a day the NVC to check about my case but most of the time i got nice operators and they were excited to help...my thoughts for you is just neglect the rude operators and keep an eye on your case,
