Fernandez19 reacted to DeniseD in The infamous words "Visa Aprobada"!!!
Yes you guys read right!!! Me and my baby were approved!! I have no words to explain the joy I feel. I will post a review as soon as I get back to florida, but let me just say, that I don't think that I would be in this state of glory if it weren't for my VJ fam!!! Right now I am going to take it easy...celebrate and enjoy my beautiful city of Santiago before I go back (hopefully with my man)
To my baby girl Frances....thank you for being on top of me!! You are next, and I will be with you every step of the way!

This is actually a great idea. There happens to be a few clubs in your area that do have Dominican night with all of the mucis and stuff. There are also a few hair salon/barber shops that are Dominican owned as well. Maybe him going there at least to get a hair cut and chat will help some. I am hoping that he will give it some more time cause this mood will pass if he gives it some time. Praying for you both.

Fernandez19 reacted to aaron2020 in Filing for Custody in Another Country
This is not an immigration matter. It's a civil matter for the family court.
As far as the US is concern, mom gave up custody to allow the child to immigrate to the US. Common sense tells us that mom can't have legal custody of a child she allowed to PERMANENTLY IMMIGRATE to another country that she is not allowed to live in. She transferred custody to dad when she signed the poder.
The potential problem is the laws of the child's home country. You will want to get a local lawyer to fight mom's custody claim by pointing out that she gave written permission to allow her child to PERMANENTLY IMMIGRATE to the US.

Fernandez19 reacted to Carol & Lenin in Applying to bring family member as nanny
thank you all. however i know we cannot bring her on a family visa however there is a visa to work as a nanny with pay of course however i believe there is 2 options for this which is what i want clarified. we are aware of the stipulation of finding someone here first however we believe we have valid reasoning to bring her. And PLEASE NO MORE this cant be done, if you'v tried and failed then I am happy to hear your experience, but if you just Think you know save it pls.

Fernandez19 got a reaction from meadowzephyr in I don't how you guys do it
I took the risk and planned the wedding after sending my petition. I planned in advance and calculated how long it should take for him to get the interview and actually be here.. The place where I booked was also aware of my situation and were willing to be flexible if needed.. I only gave a $1,500 deposit and luckily my next deposit was due after the interview in where we already found out he was approved.. Immediately as I came back, I made another large deposit of 3,500.00 and continued to pay off the place monthly for 3 months. We got married right before the 90 day mark! His sister also applied for a tourist visa and was able to attend the wedding, his other sister was denied (I sent them a wedding invitation with a letter requesting the presence at our wedding.)
and at my interview they actually asked me what our wedding plans were, and I was able to show her the contract of the location which was a plus!
