She should have changed her name when she filed adjustment. You will have to pay full price to get a new card.

My hubby came here on a k1 in 2012. All the advice you have been given so far may hurt, but it is very accurate. You must meet in person, which means you will have to visit Nigeria. If he does get approved, you will then need a co sponsor because you need to make more than 20k a yr to qualify. Once here, he will apply for the green card after marriage, that's over $1000. In 2 yrs you apply for 10 yr card, that's over $500. Rethink your situation. It's not impossible, you just have to work hard and plan better.

Find something to o to keep your mind occupied. Look where we are in the process and the waiting game is going on again. Until he gets his citizenship, you will be riding the immigration wave. Just roll wit it!

This is just a scare tactic. They do this just to see if you really want the job. These types of jobs go through a lot of employees.

Do not send your original birth certificate. The forms your fiance will fill out and turn in need to have original sigantures, not copies. Make sure he tells them that he needs his birth certificate back if he submits it. They will have the exact fiel that you submitted right there to ask questions from it. Good luck!

For proof of conversations, we sent one permonth. For the I134, that will be turned in at the interview.

I dont know if your situation is different, but my husband was given a worksheet with all the vaccinations from his medical. That is what we included in the AOS packet. We never went to a civil surgeon.

The income requirement for 4 people is $28,812. Your cosponsor makes enough income so he would not need to include assets. Also you need to look at your country specific forum to see if your embassy accepts cosponsors. Good luck to you.

We didn't interview in Lagos, but the fee is the same for all k1 visas. The petition fee is $350. That was paid in the beginning. Now you are at the interview phase. You will be paying the visa application fee, which is $240. Good luck on your interview.

As long as you have met in person within 2 years of filing, you have met one of the requirements. Do you have chat logs? Phone records? I used my airline itinerary that I had saved to my email. Hope that helps. Good luck.

My husband is a Nigerian citizen but was living in Dakar. We filed a k1 visa through the Dakar Embassy because he had a resident permit. Without the resident permit he woul have had to file in Nigeria.

I'm not loaded, but I did go to my husband's interview. They questioned me as well. The interview lasted about 10 minutes. I think its great moral support if you can be there, after this IS the person you are supposed to be spending the rest of your life with.

You need a complete copy of the packet for yourself so you know what's in it. The interviewer will ask questions from that packet. Good luck

I'm not experienced with Nigerian consulate, but I have been on this site for a year so I will say that you will be putting yourself at a disadvantage by applying in Nigeria. Its one of the most difficult places for fiance visas.
