  1. Sir Clark gave my result over the phone. When I called (which was 5 days earlier than 'sposed to :P ), he asked my name, got my file and said "Oh, Mrs. (surname), negative, you're good to go." I was surprised and asked him. "Excuse me? Did you say negative?". He laughed and said "Yes!". That is a Happy Memory!

it doesn't matter if they give you or not the result over the phone..what important is when you go to SLEC, they will tell u that your result is negative, that's what matter most.. :) :)

  2. the lady told me that in case that your culture test become positive, they will call you right away to immediately start the medication..yes, maybe they wont give you the result over the phone but if they told you to bring your passport with you..it has a big chance that your culture is negative, but still nothing is certain until they tell you that you are negative..but i think the result is negative so dont worry,..

  3. If your children are beneficiaries expecting to get Visas then yes they need to be present at the Embassy to confirm their identity.

What happened to the good old days when 3 year olds were easily entertained with a few toys or a coloring book? They must have some toy that isn't electronic to play with.

    thanks for the replies.. :)

yes they are included on tne notice that i received from email..yes its true, gone were the days where kids are contented on the simple toys..yes maybe i will bring some coloring books..are milk allowed?

  4. hello there, just wanted to ask if i really have to bring my child on my interview? im a bit worried because they might get bored there or while on the interview they make some act like crying or shouting..i heard that it is prohibited to bring CP's and electronic gadgets there. by the way my children are twins, boy and girl 3 years old..

im a bit worried the CO might get irritated..

  7. lam nyo guys upon reading your timeline, ang bilis sa inyo..sakin kasi diko na matandaan yung mga dates na kung kelan ko natanggap yung NOA na yan kasi alam ko dati matatagalan talaga kaya di ko na hinhintay..sa inyo ang bilis..kami it took us 4 years to be able to get through it..2 more months to go and judgement time na..

  8. after reading this post, i felt afraid..i dont know what will happen to me when i get there..for now im still okay coz im still waiting for my interview date.. its really hard to adjust esp when you used to do things or decide things all by yourself and then suddenly you have to consult someone now? communication is really the key in all relationships..for now i felt excited coz its the first time that our family would be binded soon but what if the excitement fades? oohh..thats life, you have to work it out right..

  9. dont be nervous.. its not even worth the sleepless nights.

my hubby was being asked 4 very simple questions

    1. where is your wife/petitioner working and what position?

    2. address of your wife/petitioner?

    3. who is your wife living with in this address?

    4. when is your wedding anniversary?

    VISA APPROVED!

oh thanks..how i wish they will only asked me few questions..im only waiting for the result of my culture test and then interview will be next in line..cant wait to be with my hubby..

  10. hi mitch..

    congrats on your journey..

mee too..how i wish my journey will end soon. if not for the delay on my medical on SLEC, my interview would be on august 23, but unfortunately, it was cancelled..i will still have to wait for the result of my culture test and that would be on last week of sept. if things go smoothly, i can have my interview sked on first week of october..

please share some of the questions that CO asked your husband so that i have an idea..i am very nervous on the interview..thanks in advance :) :)

  11. Thanks for posting the link. It's very interesting.

Did you notice it was St. Lukes who called the patient rather than the patient calling St. Lukes?

Normally, it's the patient who calls St. Lukes. I have read about it before, where St. Lukes called the patient, although not at week eight. In my reading, every time St. Lukes called a patient, it was because the culture was positive.

Now it appears that no matter how far along the patient is in the eight-week culture, if St. Lukes calls you, your culture is positive. it may be rare to get a call from St. Lukes during week eight, but as that thread shows, it can happen.

I hope others will chime in with their experiences.

yeah i realize that too..the doctor also told me that even the eight week process is not yet finished, if ever they see a growing bacteria in your culture, they will call us to immediately start the medication...lets all relax and pray..evrything will be alright in God's help..

  12. oh..the medical exam process is really the stressful part in all of it..upon reading this, i also got scared coz i just finished my sputum last week and its negative..nothing is really ceratin in this process..just keep on praying guys, well make it through.. :) lets all be positive

  13. wow, congrats!!!!!!!!!cool.gif let's pray that your culture will also be negative....mine will start tomorrow, I'm a lil bit nervous tho...what time did you go there and how long did it take? (sorry for asking, I'm trying to manage my time if I can still go to work afterwards huh.gif) after the 3 days smear test I've read that you still need to go back there to talk to the doctor or something, not sure

you should be there at least 6am coz you will be given a number and wait for your number to be called. when yoiu show your slip and paspsport to the guard on the ground flr, you will get ur number. sometimes it will took 3 hours depending on what number you have. yes u will bo back after 3 days to know the result of the smear test. they will give you instructions on your 3rd day. goodluck to you

  14. hello guys, i just came home from SLEC, and im glad that mu sputum test was negative..im very happy and thankful to God. all i have to do is wait for 2 months to know the culture result. 2 more steps and this nerve wracking experience will soon end,, :) :)

  15. That's what we call Latent Tb Infection. Don't worry. Seems like it's common for St. Luke's applicants to be subjected to sputum tests but it's very seldom that they would also do the treatment. I shouldn't have told you about it so as not to worsen your worries :(

I'll share more of what we talked about (the girl diagnosed with Tb w/o signs of it)

She had her Medical Exam early this year and on the second day almost everyone (like 500 of them she said) were stamped with SPUTUM. And the funny part is, that's the time when the Embassy was having their renovation and moving to a different building. So they thought it was just a delaying tactic.

no worries its ok..everybody can be in her situation, but i believe that i am fine coz i do jog everyday for almost 5 months now, im just afraid that the waiting will be prolong..thanks for ur info..it helps a lot and made me nervous.hahaha just joking

  16. keep on praying..and be positive....i feel you...and still i have that crazy feeling .today is exactly my one month from my smear test... i still have one more month..but praying helps me a lot...

thanks..im just on what i read here that she knows somebody who turns out positive in the smear test and will undergo meds for 6 months nand she doesn't have any symptoms that she has ba TB,,

  17. St. Luke's won't care they wan't to watch her the whole treatment process. Don't be paranoid. You will turn out to be negative. I know it's scary but don't waste your energy getting anxious about it. :)

thanks a lot..its killing me really thinking that whole thing..i do hope so..i will keep u posted on it..as soon as i get home from slec on monday, i will postr here the result, pls pray for me..thanks

  18. Yes it's true. I know someone who didn't show any signs or symptoms of having Tb but on her 3rd day of sputum test, she turned out to be positive and is now undergoing her 6 months treatment (should be at St Luke's) together with her son (who is getting medicated just because his mom is being treated). I know it's a bummer she had to go there everyday every morning to take her meds. I hope she's fine now. To make the matter worse, she lives in Mindanao. Just be positive, we will all be with our loved ones one way or another. :)

Oh My! im afraid!dont they think its a waste of money on our part?why dont they take the meds with us so that we can take it in our own home..waiting is just fine but goint there everyday sucks..im praying that my test will turn our negative

  19. today is my last day of sputum test, i will be backm on aug 1 for the result..the depressing part is when it turned out positive, you will undergo a 6 months medication but you will you personally to St/ Lukes to drink your meds, thats what i heard from the lady while waiting for our turn..i donbt know if its true...i hope its not..
