No. I sent in a service request on the 2nd of January and got some crappy email back about 'how it takes time, etc. etc. bullsh*t'.

So ridiculously frustrating.

43 mins is how long I was on the phone with them for today... The VAST majority of that time, I was on hold.

It will be 10 months on May 29th since my case was transferred to California Service Center.

Just ridiculous!

Still waiting.

This is ridiculous! Called USCIS today. Couldn't tell me anything, as usual! The initial customer service rep. put me on hold and forwarded my call to... ANOTHER customer service rep...

Giving people the run around, they are! :bonk:

I'm at around 9.5 months with no interview. :bonk:

If you don't have an interview then you'll probably be waiting a while! Like a lot of us!

Just got this reply from my service request.......

"Hello,

This notice acknowledges receipt of your status inquiry concerning your pending I-485 application. We recognize your interest in a final adjudication on your pending application and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints.

NICE! That was quick! I'm not expecting mine for another few months! :bonk:

Friend of mine, adjusting from the K-1, just got his GC 11 months (to the day) after he filed for AOS.

I read that Thread, but I'm still confused. What about those people who were transferred to California MONTHS ago!?

Ya, the AOS is just as much paperwork as the K-1. I didn't do it straight away though.

I enjoyed my first 2 weeks here, then attacked the paperwork everyday, while herself was at work.

I now have my SSN, Drivers Licence, EAD/AP Combo Card, but no job..... :bonk:

But hopefully that will come soon! :thumbs:

The NVC can be great for some people, or in my case, an all-merciful pain in the hole!

7 1/2 weeks our file was there. FINALLY was sent to Dublin and things moved much quicker from there on!

We're awaiting the EAD. My husband's will be taking a job that's nowhere near what he was working at in Egypt. Going from working in accounting to cooking in a resturant. That's a major change for him to adjust to. So glad he found work and hoping for the EAD soon.

Well that's great that he already has something work out. Just needs the EAD and he'll be good to go!

I'm still applying for stuff. Hoping to hear back from places soon! Fingers crossed!

So all the May filers who have received your EAD... how many of you people have jobs already/interviews lined up? Are they jobs that you have experience with, or are you working/looking for work in different areas?

Anyone who does NOT have the EAD yet, what line of work are you hoping to go into? Have you applied for jobs yet?
