I brought all of the necessary evidence such as chat logs , photos , screen shots , facebook chats , call records and none were asked for. I have heard that Islamabad consulate is pretty strict with evidence so I would still bring as much as you can. My mom was in the waiting room which that must of influenced his decision prior to interviewing my fiancee.

Thanks for congratulating me guys. Now one more thing will my fiancee have any problems in POE for the consulate not requesting the I-134 affidavit/supporting docs? I find it weird how she was approved right away without us needing to show the evidential support. Has this ever happened to anyone before?

You will also have the option to pay in credit cards just make sure its either yours or your fiancee`s.

Me and my fiancee are getting ready for POE and we`d like to know what would happen if my fiancee hasn`t gotten her vaccine done during her medical examination? Will POE ask for the records? She will obviously have her medical results and embassy packet along with her passport/visa in hand. Just wanted to get a clarification. Thanks

I agree lol not sure if it was luck or something but we almost walked out with our $350. Its a good thing that I asked the CO that they forgot to charge it to me before the interview. He liked my honesty which I`m sure that added to our approval

I just wanted to say thank you all for those that has helped me and my fiancee in this stressful process. The interview lasted for only 10 minutes and the CO was impressed on how me and my mom was able to make it to Pakistan to support my fiancee in this interview. He asked her only 8 questions and approved her right away. he didn`t ask for any evidence nor affidavit support. I`m assuming that this will be looked at during AOS correct? Anyways thanks again for all the help now on with the AOS

They will not consider future offers of employment. When is your interview?

at any rate, they are not offering you "employment" they are hiring you as a contractor. You are self employed. You can claim to be self employed right now and use last year's tax return as evidence. You do not need anything form this company if you claim to be self employed.

I presume they send you a 1099 form at the end of the year, correct? Make sure that is attached to last years income tax return.

My fiancee`s interview is on the 21st. The guy who owns the company is self employed and I will be working for his company. Yes he did give me a 1099 for 2010. So for now on the I-134 I should only put full time student and just show them the 1099 and the future employement letter he gave me correct? So I assume that on the income I should put 0 as I am currently not working for anyone right now. As for the 1099 he handed it to me late so therefore I will be declaring that 1099 for next year`s return.

Here`s my situation. I have been employed with a video company from Nov 1, 2010 until June 13 , 2011. I then went to work for a temporary summer job until September. Now my boss from the video company wrote me a letter to give to the consulate as my guaranteed placement of employment for December. This is what he wrote

To whom it may concern:

This letter serves as a confirmation of employment for Mr. XXXXX

Mr. XXXXX worked as a freelancer/contractor with our company from November 1, 2010 to June 13, 2011. His role within the company was to manage videography work and was paid a salary of XX per hour.

Mr. XXX was asked to return to his position on or about the first week of December 2011.

Any questions regarding Mr. XXX role within our company, please call us at XXXXXX

Now I noticed that on Question 7 it says to state the job that you are employed or engaged in the business of.. Would it be ok for me to add the video company on question 7 since the letter will prove that I will be employed in December? I assume that`s what the engagement part of the question means. I would also like to know what do I put under income in case its ok for me to disclose the video company? I am currently a full time student at a community college and will continue to be so within the next year. In case I`m not able to disclose the video company what do I put on the affidavit since I`m a student?

Yes I`m not sure where exactly I assume its your local USCIS office. Someone please correct me if I`m wrong

You will need to apply for AOS. This is a whole other process which usually takes about 6-8 months. Green Card will be delivered once you and your wife gets approved.

Hey guys

I have a couple of questions in regards to the interview process.

Where is the Diplomatic Shuttle Service located? Is the shuttle service only for visa applicants or is it for everyone including US Citizens?

How often does the shuttle operate?

Are family members such as my fiancee`s dad and her brother allowed inside the shuttle service center? how about the consulate area?

Can me and my mother accompany her to the consulate area?

What is my fiancee required to show to the shuttle service center? I assume the passport and interview letter but how about the documents?

The thing is that I am planning on coming 15 minutes later to meet up my fiancees inside the consulate since my flight will be arriving a bit late.I will be carrying all of the financial documents as well as the evidences and I was planning on giving it to her inside the consulate.

Your fiance will take her medical results to the interview with her on November 21. When the visa is approved the medical and petition documents will be placed in a envelope that your fiance will be instructed not to open.

When she reaches the POE, CBP will open her envelope, tell her to keep the X-Ray CD and process her visa.

No other documents are needed until it is time for AOS.

Hi everyone

My fiancee was just recently given her results in a sealed packet along with a CD that`s filled with X-Ray results. She was obviously told not to open any of the items that were given to her. The doctor told her that the doctors in POE would open it (didn`t know they had doctors in the airport). Anyways when does my fiancee start filling out these forms? Are these forms not required for the interview?

I despise their service on how they told me that my visa would be ready in 8 days and it wasn`t ready. I was told to come back yesterday but I wont be able to until Thursday. Their communication is terrible they rarely pick up the phone and they have never answered to any of my emails. The unfortunate part is that they also have my mother`s passport and her`s was submitted last Thursday. I just hope we receive it before our Nov 12 flight :-/
