  1. Looks like there were A LOT of approvals that happened at CSC between 7/8 and 7/15. Specifically on 7/8 and 7/11 there were a TON of them. Yesterday it looks like a few July 8th approvals received their NVC case #'s! I am expecting to receive my case # at NVC sometime next week. Just thought maybe some of us with the same approval date range could track together so we all know what to expect time wise!

  2. Well.. another week of my life spent in limbo. NVC says my case is still not in the system. Its in house just not entered fully yet. They have changed their standard BS responses to be more in line with their actual processes. Originally they would tell me it takes 15 days... then 15-20 days... then 15-20 BUSINESS days... and yesterday I was told they are really busy and to wait 20-30 BUSINESS days.

July 11th NOA2... August 13 still waiting for NVC

I can generally convince myself not to worry or not to stress, but this process has fried every patient cell in my body. Throw in my crazy work schedule and I am just plain irritated and tired. I want my husband here to give me a big hug! I miss him sooo much

  3. Just called in today and received our NVC number. I had called yesterday and was told that they just received it yesterday and that it would be 4-6 weeks before the number. Thanks to what I read here, I just called again today, and the number was available to the AVR system. Nice! Now what? More reading...

    BLH

    GO BLH!!!!

The NVC is making some progress this week it seems! There were no NOA2's done on 7/9 or 7/10 and my approval was 7/11! BLH seeing you got your case number today from a 7/8 approval is like the best news ever! Congrats! Now I have jittery belly all over again!

  4. Still waiting on case number.

My heart skipped a beat when after the operator took my receipt number, she asked for beneficiary's birthday. Then my heart plummeted when she said, "Oh wait, you don't have a case number yet."

Then she said to expect something in 6-8 WEEKS!!!!!!! Panicked, I asked, "What happened to 10-15 business days?" She asked, "Oh, who told you that?" EVERYONE I'VE SPOKEN WITH EVERYDAY I'VE CALLED SINCE JULY 28.

    I'm panicked!

Dont panic Tercerero! I have the same approval date as you and I am still not so patiently waiting. Our cases were received at NVC on August 1st and we are just waiting for them to be entered into the system. I called this morning and got one of the nicest ladies ever and she did lots of searching in their system to see what is going on. She then said it would be finished by the end of the week. We are getting close!

As far as the timeframes they give... They just have scripted lines that they are told to read from! So the 15 business days or 20 - 30 days or 45 days are all just lines they feed you to get you off the phone. Call everyday and try to get your number!

  5. Im hangin but the noose is getting tighter by the minute lol

I have been being told that my case was received at NVC on 8/1 and that typically within 10-15 business days the information is all loaded. That would make for 8/15 or 8/22. Which is a lovely 45 days after my approval.

Losing hope for September interview date now  Please dont make me spend my birthday alone

  6. I was approved July 11th and we are still waiting for an NVC case number. I called this morning and the guy stated that my case is "here in the office somewhere but nothing has been processed" I asked how long that process normally takes and he stated 15 days. When I mentioned we are now on day 28... or the 20th BUSINESS day... he said "ooh... well... maybe later in the week they will have done something with it!"

Thanks butt wipe! Talk to ya next week!

My patients for my case sitting in some black hole in an office is really wearing thin.

I try to put on my happy pants each day but it is getting harder each day that I have to rely on sending (hug) through skype to feel some love :girlwerewolf2xn:

  7. From what I understand after going through this process is that a marriage performed in another country is valid in the US as long as it does not violate any US laws (Ex.. marrying more than one person or something). I was married in the Republic of Georgia and we had to have our marriage license notorized/recorded, apostilled, translated, and notorized again.

You do NOT have to register the marriage in the state/city/county that you live in when you return to the US.

The Netherlands, including Aruba, Curacao, Holland, and Netherland Antilles are all part of the Hague Convention. The Hague Convention is a treaty that allows other countries to "Apostille" the documents... essentially verifying the authenticity and certifying them as true and valid. This then makes them acceptable in the USA. Be preparred to pay through the nose to have all of your documents apostilled and notorized!!!

  8. I just received a response back from Sue... well actually it must be Sue's assistant as it was signed by Erin... Here is what it says:

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC recently received this petition. The appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks.

    Case Number: WAC1190332###

    Sincerely,

    Erin

    National Visa Center

    Written Inquiry Unit

    Serco Inc, Support Contractor

That translates into BLAH BLAH BLAH, YADDIE YADDIE YAH... Keep waiting

  9. Dave have they confirmed that they have your case yet?

Originally they were saying they have received nothing but here in the past few days they are confirming that they do officially have my case. Just gotta wait for it to be entered. If they have not confirmed that they have your case yet then you should pull out your Mr. Potato head angry eyes and start raising some heck! Go get em!!! :bonk:

  10. For anyone that really wants to start aggravating NVC... When I called this morning she told me to email a supervisor named Sue. The email address is NVCINQUIRY@STATE.GOV

She said to put in the subject line of the email... PI Supervisor Sue

Type a letter explaining your wait/frustrations and include petitioner and beneficiary's name, date of birth and receipt#. Attach a scanned copy of your NOA2 and send away!

Sue should get a dose of what is going on in her office and maybe make some changes

  11. I called NVC again today and still no case nunber. They requested for me to once again send a copy of my receipt to the research email address and they will contact USCIS on my behalf. Just sent it so now I'll just sit back and wait some more. This is really pi$$ing me off now. My poor hubby is stuck there with no job no income no nothing. And now we are going to be lucky if we get a September interview... if not October  Nothing like our lives being controlled by the ever incompetent US government!

  12. Dave this is sooo true! I already purchased my hubby a Buckeye jersey! He is going to wear it when he flies into the US! Gotta make them part of the tradition!

    Yep, Still waiting.

I am trying to fix my signature to put in my timeline, but it won't let me put in anything more than 5 lines. I gave up.

They recieved my file this past Monday, but they have not generated a case number yet. I call NVC 3 times now in the evening to make sure they are telling me the straight deal and not messing with me. So far they have been pretty consistent. I was the one that use to give instruction to all the n00bs on here for NVC and then others came along during their processing and what ya know, I'm the one that's draggin' behind. lol

I still have hope for today. I really want my wife here before Thanksgiving.

I want her to take her to an Ohio State football game in November where it's freezing cold so she understand how crazy her husband is about football and his university!

  13. Steph1988... I have an expedited case as well... I asked some questions to the NVC rep I spoke with this morning (as she was super nice). She said that a UCSIC expedite ends once approved. Once NVC receices case then we must request another expedite with them. Seeing as how the processing time at NVC seems to be determined by the petitioners sending in docs I am not going to request an expedite with them. She said requesting it can actually slow down the NVC process because a case inquiry has to be opened.

  14. Typically medical assistance is not considered as one of the types of assistance that would disqualify you from sponsoring your husband. Food stamps, child care assistance, public housing etc. would all be types of assistance that they would not want to see you receiving. I am of course assuming that you are receiving Medicaid/Medicare/Healthy start and nothing else.

  15. Woo Hoo Go Dave!!! Hopefully mine is in that package too!!! When I called this morning the operator asked me some questions that noone else has asked before. I have a feeling my case is there as she was verifying dates of birth and things. She would have no way to verify them if they didnt receive our info from CSC I am guessing. She said it should be "very soon" and to call back tomorrow :-)
