  1. So, I have already filed for K-1 Visa and Im planning to file CRBA for our child that is on the way. My girlfriend wanted me to speak with a friend of hers that is dating someone that has been through theses kind of situation or so he says. I spoke with him on Sunday and he was very adamant that any child born abroad to US citizen cannot receive citizenship of the US and that it is important that the child is born here. Is this true? My intuition says no because How is it that the US govt creates a law that can not be used. didnt make sense to me when he said it and for the sake of my girlfriend I didnt argue with him. Next question is he went on to say that he can have my girlfriend here in 2 months with the help of commercial visa personnel and lawyers. Once again my intuition went berserk thinking that this sounds like visa fraud to me...and being an engineer I dont want a situation if im trying to apply for Top Secret clearance I get denied because of a silly mistake such as this one. I dont know and Im seeking advice from you guys. Does any of this sound legit or does it smell a bit funky to you? Let me know. I told my girlfriend that we should just be patient and wait it out if all goes well she can be here in 10 months or less and our baby will have citizenship through CRBA. Was this the right thing to say? Thanks

  2. So, after careful checking of documents and making sure everything is there, I have sent off our Application for K-1 Visa about 10 min ago. It wasnt easy and it took forever to prepare documents almost 3 weeks after receiving papers from the Misses (total of 5 weeks). But Im glad and now the wait begins. For all you guys that have started this process, dont give up. If you truly want it you'll be patient and hope for the best. Prayer is always a good method to fall back on in times of worry and strife. Thank all of you guys for your info and support and there will be plenty in the times to come.

  3. With what you Guys are saying...ill lighten the load a little. I agree with wat one of you said about quality vs quantity. Also less info might speed up the process. Lets say I cut it down to 1/3 of its amount. Think we are good?

@Daniel&Theary Photos with family members? hmm i didnt know. Okay ill add pics of me and her mom, and her God mom. =) Thanks everybody for your help. Im gonna look over it all, and tomorrow it goes out ^_^ Cant wait to get NOA1 ^_^ I hope.

  4. Hello Everybody,

I am doing a last check up on all my documents for my K-1 Visa application. I just wanted to know if all the info I provided is enough for the Service center.

I have all required documents plus certified check from my bank

As for proof of relationship, Ive included the following...

3 emails topics totalling 20 pages

3 gmail chat conversations totaling 30 pages

1 online phone card company bill = 2 pages

15 photos from my trip to Russia in december where we went to Kiev and Odessa in Ukraine, and Moscow, Izhevsk, and Zavyalovo in Russia

30 Pages of Skype Messages which include Phone conversation Time stamp. (I had to cut it down from 150 pages...it wasnt easy)

Flight - Itineraries for both our trips, when we met in 2009 and for the trip in december 2010

Train passes for the trip to Ukraine

Passport stamps from both of our passports

Recent letters I wrote to her and her mom

I hope it is enough...please let me know. Thanks

  5. Ive been trying to prepare the documents as I await the paperwork sent by my significant other i.e G325A forms and what not. And Ive been trying to figure out the best way to print emails, skype msgs, and chat msgs. Should I copy them to word then print them? or print them directly from the website i.e Yahoo, gmail, etc. Thanks

  6. Hello

Me and my gf are about to have a baby, exciting yes I know, and I had a couple questions of how to get the child citizenship under the Child born abroad to one USC parent (father). What forms would I need? I wasnt sure if I needed the N-600 Form or the CBRA Form from the Consulate or both. I read somewhere that a certificate of citizenship and a CBRA are equal but one cost 4 times as much as the other. Anyways Any info would gladly help, I like planning ahead just incase. thanks

  7. My girlfriend knew how much I wanted her to be here in the States with me...so she decided to send this to me as a Joke, boy did I feel stupid after reading it for the 10th time realizing that it was a scam. I actually told some people before realizing it was fake. Then sent her an email saying that dont respond to it, its a Scam. Then she said, I already knew that...I just thought it was funny to send it to you. Man she is slick =P
