she needs to go to the bank and pay the money in cash. Wires or CC are not accepted. You can wire to her but she has to personally go there and pay for it herself. Takes like 25 min but you wont be able to register till two days after payment via UStraveldocs.com

you need to go to www.ustraveldocs.com and pay the fee for your visa interview before scheduling an appointment. remember you must register in the name of the person you are applying k-1 for. Total cost is 350$ or 11550 Rubles for the fee payable by pochta service or VTB bank service. Usually this is done after Moscow Embassy has received our case and has sent you an email stating the next step.

Yay thats two from may filers group this month. Ours is at the end of the month. Im worried about the financial aspect. But I believe I clear the amount needed. Congrats to you guys. Well deserved

From one to another..your friend should RUN as fast as his digital feet can carry him. 75% sure its not a woman he is talking to on the other side. ALso library at night yeah right...If they are Russian most russians have a computer or a phone. it may not be a good one but its a working one with internet access. So thats the first alert signal. Two she can easily contact your friend via ICQ. it is russian mobile chat that they all use. A little outdated but it works. Three, she mentioned the words money, cost, visa and medical. The only way to get this information is to use the INTERNET to get the PHONE number to the Embassy to CALL them and ASK what are the requirements for K-1 VISA. So yeah....Scam is the only verdict. Tell your friend to run from this ASAP.

God is good. Congrats to you guys. Like I said, Time is our only Enemy. Big hip-hip hoorah to Ning & Ice ^_^b

Let us know right away how it goes, what you were asked, etc etc in full detail. Best of luck to you guys.

Good luck to you Ning & Ice. Our Interview date is in 18 days O_O. The misses leaves for Moscow a week before. So less than 3 weeks and we get a verdict. Im trying so hard to stay focused and remain determined to get my loved ones here. Its the only thing keeping me going at my job that I hate so much with incompetent workers but I know I have no choice but to deal with it. Remember the reasons for doing what you are doing and stay focused on the goal ahead. Time is our only enemy, Remember that. Good luck to all of you guys. Stay blessed.

I send documents via mail by USPS Express and have had no problems. Gets to her in 8 days and I pay 30 bucks. =)

Seems almost easier to just get the Homestay Visa the regular way....I dont like the fact of paying for tickets with no guarantee that I will have a visa. =(

close/delete topic please question answered already thank you

Quick question. Im preparing all financial documents and it will be the last package I send to my lady before she is to have her interview in Moscow. Currently I have 1040 ez forms dating back 4 years (2007-2010), a letter from my employer stating I make way above the poverty line, a bank statement with some savings and paystubs dating 5 weeks back. Is this enough information to include with the affadavit of support or I need more documentation? Let me know asap as Im sending this package on wednesday. Thanks.

23 days till my Bulochka's Interview....Cant wait. Praying for approval =)

If what he is carrying in his suitcase is mostly clothes, he can wear at least some of the overage and put small items in pockets... I did that once before, hehe! TSA doesn't have any rules about how much clothing a person wears on his/her body!
And thanks, Thom! I will call NVC back today.
I did that and I was sweating like crazy on the plane...not advised nothing sucks being soaked in your own sweat after a 10 hour flight... T_T

hooray for another Russian approval case

The problem with using sites like this is that they often don't give the option to purchase a ticket for an infant. If it were just Amy, I'd probably use an option like this.
True but I found a way around that...just look it up through momondo and then go to the particular airline and then you should be able to get the same ticket for same price or a little bit more.
-
Great news, Im truly happy for you guys. My Tatiana will be enduring the same trip in 30 days with our 2 month old son in this Russian weather. I pray the same fate for us as it was for you. Congrats once again.

Google voice and Google Talk both have record functions with either name and phone or name and email address with time stamps...so cheap may not be so bad in the end.
-
Thank you everyone!!! I was so excited last night I couldn't sleep!
You are next me&him! I am thinking of you and praying that you get your approval soon!!!

Yay, Congrats guys. Told you...a week or less from Service request. Have faith all things will come to pass. ()b

WOOOOT OUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!!! GOD is good =) Congrats to you Team Katman! We were all rooting for you. Now its a sprint to the finish. I hope you took the time between NOA1 and NOA2 to prepare for interview. Godspeed and Good luck. =)

Google Talk is the cheapest by far...You can do it at home, on the go, in your PJs, on a mountain....you can even do it while taking a pooop. LOL but seriously me and the misses use Google talk and its great. ALso for contacting family when abroad I use Google voice to send SMS for free only thing needed is a phone internet service which in most countries is dirt cheap compared to the US.

It's good that you have the CRBA done before your interview. The interviewing officer may ask about that, though it won't affect the outcome. I was wondering if you saw this on the US Embassy - Moscow's site:
"If one parent is a Russian national, you may add your child to that parent's Russian individual travel passport or apply for an individual Russian passport for the baby to use to depart Russia. You may also choose to travel out using your child's American passport, however, this requires that the Russian parent officially renounces the baby's Russian citizenship. All the three procedures, i.e. issuance of a Russian exit visa, issuance of a Russian travel passport, and renunciation of Russian citizenship are handled by the Federal Migration Service and may take several weeks to complete."
I thought it interesting that Manila has a checklist to follow and Moscow doesn't. In fact, the checklist for Manila needs to be signed and dated and is part of the documentation packet. Also, ensure the birth certificate is the government issued copy. They are very strict about this requirement.
Yeah we decided to get our son both a Russian and American Passport. He received his Russian Passport about 10 days ago so all we need now is the US passport and we are good to go =)

What did you use as proof for residence in the US for 5 years or more for your daughter's CRBA? I have a few things but Im not sure it is enough information for the DOS.
