Congratulations! I am sure that the medical results are just a formality now and he will have his visa in a few days. So pleased for you.

His GP may do them for free. They don't have to but mine did.

Don't be discouraged. It will come, just try and keep busy and stop thinking about it - not that I was able to keep my own advice!
Use the time to make sure you have everything ready for the NVC stage because you will have a certain amount of control over the speed of that process.
Good luck.

There is nothing wrong with traveling to Vegas to get married - it would only be a problem if he intended to stay which he clearly doesn't. I would just make sure he has as much proof as possible that he is going back.
We got through the whole process from filing to visa in under eight months and that included a slight hold up because when we started out Trevor was not a USC. There is nothing you can really do to speed up the process at USCIS but once we got to NVC we were ready with everything the minute it was asked for.
Good luck and congratulations.

So pleased for you. Congratulations!

Thanks to the walk through we got the return completed, although the next day the IRS sent us a rejection with maybe as many as 30 things they didn't like. Mostly stuff around the exemption on my wages from before I moved, so it's a good thing we have until April to complete it. I never thought I'd miss HMRC
And PAYE!

Have you had your welcome letter? I got my welcome letter after about eight days and then my green card arrived just over a month after my POE (and that was with the holidays in the middle).

What country is your fiancée from? If she is from a VWP country then she can visit during the process but she will need to bring strong evidence of ties to home (letter from her employer, lease/mortgage on her home etc) to show that she will not stay once she is admitted. And there is always a chance that she will not be admitted - it is up to the CBP officer on the day.

I use the Post Office online. You can pay by debit card or a bank transfer. The money goes through very quickly and there is no charge.
I was on my mobile earlier so couldn't post the link:

They do still ask for a photo, so yep, keep on taking 'em!
You have to sign over the top of the actual photo, that is attached to the medical report.
Fair enough. Maybe it's just different for the IR1 because I know that I just had my police certificate and they copied that.
-
Nich-Nick, I don't know if things have changed but I didn't need an additional photo at the medical. Just the police certificate with the photo on it and my passport.

We sent nothing other than the affidavits. For the I-130 they want evidence of your ongoing relationship so the phone/email evidence from before you were married is not totally relevant. The bills and joint bank account are good. We had no evidence of financial co-mingling at the time we filed so we couldn't send it but it wasn't an issue. We had more by the time of the interview but it wasn't needed.
Incidentally, after we filed Bank of America added me to my husband's account with no legal resident status. It took just a few minutes. That was in Georgia.
-
I'm not an expert on this but I think it will vary from state to state. I arrived in Georgia in December with 17 years of teaching experience in the UK and I cannot teach here without getting Georgia Gertification - although I could work as a substitute (supply) teacher or in a private school. I am currently trying to get my head around all the acronyms involved in teaching in Georgia and work my way through the maze that will hopefully lead to Certification.

Good luck - you will be fine.

If she has her Greencard and valid passport then she can just go.
-
You are legally married - that's all that matters .
-
So pleased to hear that everything is ok. Good luck for your interview - I am sure it will be fine.

I agree with Inky, but if you are concerned about it he could always carry a copy of the email with him as well.

Congrats.
