kampai99 and hope.andsun CONGRATULATION to both of you!!!
I cant wait anymore..... when i will get an interview date :(
I haven't heard anything from my AOS.EAD.AP, but I'll think of it as an advance congratulations! You'll be my lucky charm.

Hi all. Just wondering... Do walk in biometrics hasten the processing of the ead?
Some say yes, but I did my early walk-in, and I'm almost at 2 months, which is the average time for being approved.
-
update... ead card production november 2..
aos interview..november 29.... im so happy....
Congrats levi!
When did you submit your AOS?
-
Congratulations to everyone!
Hope all of us September filers hear from the USCIS soon. Let's be positive!!
-
Same thing happened with me. I e-mailed Social Security and they told me that it is allowed to apply as long as you I-94 is valid. Print out the e-mail, then go back to the office. Good luck!
-
I've read that some people were able to take their tests just by showing their receipts that their AOS is in process. I'm not really sure though if this applies to all DMV's. I'll keep a look out on this thread, as this is also the question in my mind.

Update on my case: I received an email today at 5pm saying that they mailed a notice of my interview on Nov 30.
Yey! Congratulations!
-
Yes, whichever age as long as you already started your period.

Sep. 2 Filer here.
Just got a TXT from USCIS saying our case has been updated.
Checked out website and sure enough, our AP/EAD is in the CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION stage.
Told my wife and she literally jumped for joy. I'm really happy for her, she'll be able to see her family once again.
Wow! That's super great news! CONGRATULATIONS!!! The greencard should come very, very soon.

This is why I'm nervous about my case
Anyone here whose not all receipts showing up on USCIS? Hope this is not just me
Don't worry, all 3 of my receipts don't show up in the website. I've read that it's quite normal, and that USCIS even said not to rely on their case status updates online. It still sucks though that I don't see my case status even if it's under "Initial Review". The same thing happened to my K1 visa, so don't worry about it. You might even get approved faster than all of us.
-
If it's any consolation, my case isn't in the site at all. It says it cannot be found. I'm not really worried because it's the same with us when we were going through our K1 visa, but still. It'd be good to know that at least our papers are in the website.

My fiance was with me for my interview. You'll be allowed to enter and be with your fiance/wife the whole time. Just bring your US passport with you. Don't worry, you'll be fine. Since you're there, they'll also ask you questions. They'll ask about your job, how you met each other, but mostly it'll be "Yes/No" questions. Just make sure all your documents are ready. Most important is the affidavit of support and supporting evidences. Good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

If you go there by 5:30, you'll get done around 9. I think it's better to go early in the morning, in the middle of the week.

Hi Tara, first in MN you have 60 days to change over your license, I had to do a written test...I passed! There is however the staff were not sure how the DMV will look at my I94 status...she said they may request more proof that I will be staying in the USA...I gave them a copy of my I-797..see what happens. She said if I do not get the license within a month to come back to see her. But what has me hopping mad is my RFE...which says "You submitted form 1-693, Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. However, the civil surgeon certified the exam more than one year before the date the applicant filed the Form I-485." Not wanting to swear on this message board...use your imagination....my medical was completed Aug 2, 2011, they processed my I-485 Oct 4, 2011. Somehow that does not add up to one year for me! So....I got to drive 90 miles each way yesterday to get a SSN, and Monday I get to drive 90 miles each way for a friggen INFO appointment. Good thing I keep everything related to USCIS!
I am very cranky now!
Lise
Damn! I don't blame you for being cranky. Looks like gas money should be included in overall AOS expenses. LOL
-
Us too. It's been a month and it's still not in the website.
-
SOOOO HAPPY! Husband did walk-in biometrics in Santa Ana, CA today... SUCCESSFUL!!
I'd read horrible stories on VJ about the guards in Santa Ana... looks like we really lucked out and got the nice one!
In and out in about 40 minutes.
Hi Kristin! If you don't mind me asking, why was your AP rejected?
-
Just a heads up,
SEP 2nd AOS filer here, no word yet on EAP/AP nor appointment.
Hope you get it soon as you are nearing your 2 month mark.
-
They put me under relative of permanent resident. I was supposed to be put under immediate relative of US Citizen
Hope everything will turn out fine!
-
Signed. Good luck!
-
The waiting sucks, but they'll get it. They're very careful with handling those kinds of documents.
-
Well, I still never received an email notifying me of my NOAs...the hard copy was good to get.
However, I did receive an email today from USCIS...the dreaded RFE. I am not going to stress about
it because I have kept absolutely everything from the get go. I will wait for the letter and do
what I have to do. At least I am here with Michael!
Lise
Damn! That sucks. Well, at least they're going through your papers. Usually you get your EAD/AP approved a couple weeks after sending in your RFE. I'm just worried cause I haven't heard anything ever since I received my NOA1 (aside from the biometrics appointment). Keep us updated on your RFE. I'm hoping it's nothing that big. Good luck!
Okay guys big problem - I've lost my passport with my visa in it. We've been through the house and car multiple times, top to bottom, called the family we stayed with and the hotel we stayed at and it isn't turning up anywhere.
You cannot call the montreal consulate where I got my visa. What do I do?!?!
Reading this made me so nervous for you. I'm so glad you found it! Can't imagine the feeling.

Did my walk-in 2 weeks ago. No news yet..
-
I paid for my own medical. I had my fiance with me, but I knew their policy of not allowing anyone in. We tried and asked if he can go in, but they said no.. It wasn't a problem, since it was their rule. He stayed in the car and went to a coffee shop to wait for me. There is a plan B. Also, there are lot of people inside the building. In the 1st floor, you don't see them, but when you go to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, there are no available seats left. Take into account that Canadian, Australian and other countries conduct their medical here. Also, there are communicable diseases that are being treated inside. There's no need for someone to be victimized.

Change of Status problems: Missing piece of jigsaw
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
The NOA2 (called the form I-797) is sent to the petitioner in the US. That is the approval of the I-129F. Photocopy it, and send it along with your AOS.
