New Delhi: Twenty lakh rupees can get you the US s sought-after Einstein Visa, granted only to top-tier researchers and professors. At least, that s what specialised brokers and agents are promising. It s credential laundering .

With the Donald Trump government tightening visa rules, ads are flooding LinkedIn, Facebook and Telegram: Guaranteed EB-1 visas , Our specialised content writers will get you published .

Agents have gamed the immigration and research system by offering a gamut of services. They will write your research paper. They will get it published. They will get you a seat on peer review boards. Put you on a jury panel, or better still, help you win an award. All of which give researchers an edge in their visa application.
This, however, is muddying India s reputation in the global science community. Now, researchers, lawyers and immigration policy experts are sounding the alarm bells.

Law Office of Thomas V. Allen

Lately, we ve seen a wave of agencies mostly based outside the U.S. promoting EB-1A petition support on social media. They charge thousands to create evidence to help you meet the regulatory criteria. But here s the reality: . We re seeing a sharp rise in Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs), and even I-140 revocations.

I have sympathy with people in this situation, short version she was brought to the US presumably as a visitor and adopted when she was a few months old, and then nothing.

Some quotes from the article.

A, who is now in her 40s, vulnerable to deportation to her native South Korea a country she has never been to

A was just 3 weeks old when she was brought to the West Coast from South Korea.

Both can not be true, the story speaks to itself why lie?

In 2022, A married a U.S. citizen opening up a new viable pathway toward citizenship. It's promising, but A won't be able to get a green card until she has obtained adoption papers.

She has a Lawyer, presumably she was not smuggled in so has valid inspection so why not just adjust. Why mention Citizenship, first step is Permanent Residency.

Why would you not have someone write the article who actually knows about the subject, or at least have it fact checked?

SAN DIEGO (AP) Two U.S. border inspectors in Southern California have been charged with taking thousands of dollars in bribes to allow people to enter the country through the nation s busiest port of entry without showing documents, prosecutors said.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers Farlis Almonte and Ricardo Rodriguez were assigned to immigration inspection booths at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. They were charged after investigators found phone evidence showing they had exchanged messages with human traffickers in Mexico and discovered unexplained cash deposits into their bank accounts, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Thursday.

The family of a British woman detained in the US for three weeks because of a visa mix-up say she has left the immigration detention centre and are hopeful she is on her way home.

Rebecca Burke, 28, a graphic artist from Monmouthshire, was trying to cross from the US state of Washington into Canada when she was refused entry.

Canadian authorities told her to go back to the US and fill in new paperwork before returning.

She does not seem to have a visa, she was in the US on the Visa Waiver Programme and seems to have tried to enter Canada on a similar basis and was refused. Not sure what the new paperwork was.
