US Immigration from Turkey

Hi there,

We just received our K1 visa on hand and the petitioner's last name had a misspelling on the visa (the last name had an "A" instead of an "E"). We are flying to the United States in 4 days and wanted to know if anyone had a similar situation or any issues at the border. We contacted the Embassy multiple times (calling, emailing, etc.) but we aren't able to get in touch with them. Any help or insight would be highly appreciated.

It s been 70 days since my case was approved but I have not yet received my NVC welcome letter. I have made inquiries to the NVC, but nothing yet. Anyone know how long it s taking and if it will affect anything since the approval notice is only valid for a certain amount of time?

Hopefully this is the right place to post this question! My husband from Turkey just received his passport back with CR-1 visa inside. However, there are two annotations on the visa:

221(g) (2)(b)

Class B Req. Attn. of USPHS at POE.

From my (perhaps incorrect) understanding, the first annotation is related to an incomplete vaccination record, due to him having not received some vaccinations due to them being considered medically inappropriate (for example he didn't receive a meningitis vaccine because he's over 18). He did have to undergo extra AP with DS-5535, so maybe it's also related to that?

Does anyone know what the second annotation relates to? Is it saying that he has a Class B health condition? He was not notified of any health issues at his medical exam, nor does he have any sort of adverse physical or mental health history or any history of drug use. Now I am worried that he has a health condition he doesn't even know about and for some reason was not alerted to at the exam.. Anyone with experience on what this annotation means? Could it be related to the vaccine thing?

my case was DQ on 28/june/2023 i was waiting my interview like everyone else , my younger pro got approved at USCIS and got transferred to NVC . the next day his case got expedited and mine as well ! cuz my brother is turning 18 soon . and i got expedited cuz i m his older brother (20 yrs).

today 18/august/2023 both cases status are ready and we received this email from the embassy.

what i want to know is do we still have to upload documents in CEAC and pay fees for my brother s case or we just have to make appointment for the interview and prepare documents ?

Hello fellow travelers. This question is specifically aimed at K/CR/IR visa petitioners and beneficiaries in T rkiye.

*How does the NVC, consulate Immigrant Visa Unit, etc communicates with all? Do they send paper mail or is everything done via email or text (like on B2 process)? I ask because (as you know) PTT does not leave mail in boxes and instead hands delivers. If we re traveling out of the country, we would like to stay updated and not miss important correspondence.*
