Hello all, my wife, while waiting between our DQ and our interview date, had our first child in Tunisia. We had submitted the AOS and DS260 with no children included, nor included in the household size. My question is what should I update and upload regarding this prior to the interview? Note we already did the CRBA and the newborn s passport is on the way. Much obliged. Best, Shawn

Greetings, I'm looking for assistance with my M-1 visa application to attend a US aviation technical school for around 4 weeks, possibly a bit longer, through their accelerated program. Although the school provided me with a visa letter, it currently lacks SEVIS accreditation, hindering the issuance of the required I-20 form for the M-1 Visa application. I'm asking for help to explore potential solutions. Could the school provide an alternative to the I-20 form? Alternatively, is it possible for them to pursue a prompt SEVIS accreditation to facilitate the quick issuance of the required document? If obtaining the M-1 Visa proves challenging, are there alternative visa options that don't necessitate an I-20 form and that will allow me to pursue the accelerated course at the aviation school? Perhaps I could pursue a visitor visa and participate in the program during the visit period? However, I'm hesitant about opting for a visitor visa due to its significantly longer wait and processing times compared to the M-1 student visa, unless there is a way to make it quicker than actually waiting for 6 months or more for a response. Any insight will be helpful. Thank you for your time!

I m a USC filing for my spouse and here is the timeline for our I130 standalone (consular processing): Attorney paper filed - April 17, 2023 PD and receipt notice - April 20, 2023 Case in active review - April 25, 2023 And no activity since then which I think is a good sign. We sent every possible bona fide evidence in hopes to avoid an RFE and so far it seems to have worked . However, the my progress (I am aware not to trust this information) tab on USCIS website changed to your case is taking longer than expected on Nov 3rd, almost 4 months ago. We just passed 10 months since PD. I can see posts from people with a similar situation getting approved around the 11 month mark. At what point is it plausible to contact my congressman (through my attorney?) and request them to make an inquiry on my case? If my congressman was made aware of the my progress tab saying that, could it be incentive for them to make inquiry without wasting anyone s time? What would you do?
