First passport for over 16- ds 5507 necessary?

So my daughter needs to renew her US passport using for DS-11 as this will be her first passport over the age of 16. I see that on form ds 11 they are asking for numerous documents including form ds 5507 for the US parent who lives abroad. I also see that they want this notarized in front of a consular offical. This will not be possible, so I was wondering if an in country public notary will suffice.

This is in Thailand.

Thanks for any guidance in this.

Thai fiance living in Europe (non EU)

Hi, new member here. My fiance is Thai but lives and holds residency in the Faroe Islands. Faroe is an autonomous region within the Kingdom of Denmark however it not part of the EU. She has to get a Schengen Visa to travel to anywhere in Europe including Copenhagen where the US and Thai embassies are located. We are both in our 60's so naturally want to be together as much as possible and a delay in getting a GC for work purposes is not a problem. From reading on this site the current wait times between K1 and CR1 seem about the same and most suggest the CR1. I can travel to her and get married but it will probably be a couple of months to arrange that. Of course I can start the K1 process now.

She also has a B2 visa for the US as of last year and visited here last year for the first time. She has no family in Faroe but she has 2 adult children and grand children in the US. I feel like once we start the visa process she will not be able to travel to the US because of strong ties here and very weak ties in Faroe.

As with most people on here we just want to be together. Any insight or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi all

I filed our I-130 online in Nov 2021. I've just received a request for evidence stating:

Quote

USCIS is not able to open and view the evidence you initially uploaded. Therefore, please reupload/resubmit the Form I-130A, Supplemental Infomration for Spouse Beneficiary, your birth certificate or evidence of United States Citizenship (USC), as well as the marriage certificate

(Yes the typo in "Infomration" is in the actual letter... how professional!)

Has anyone seen this before? All my evidence was uploaded as PDF and I have no issue viewing them in my account portal. I'm a bit worried to proceed with online filing now as if they "can't open" my response won't we be automatically rejected?

We applied for N400 April 18th 2022,
Did biometric appointment on June 3rd, 2022
And are still waiting to be scheduled for the Interview/exam.

Starting to get worried that its taking longer than the other reports on visa journey (although the other reports are from other states).
Should we be worried or is this normal for California?

On the USCIS website it says "

Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS June 3, 2022"

Our local office is San Francisco California.

Child Immunization Records for children born outside the US

Hey everyone,

This question is specifically for parents of children born outside the US.

Background Info:

  • We'll be living in California
  • She is currently 4 yrs old (maybe 5+ by the time my wife gets her IR1 VISA lol)
  • My child was born in Thailand
  • Already has her US passport and CRBA, so no VISA or medical exam required.

When you enrolled your child (or children) into school, how did you handle the immunization records requirement? Should I get a doctor in Thailand to translate it? Will the school accept a translation? Tried researching on Google with no avail. All I have is this "pink book" the doctor fills out every time we go in for my daughter's vaccinations, all in Thai and I can't read it lol.
