Hello everyone. I ve been seeing that some have filed, on top of the i-130, the k3 as well, as a form of expedite, and I was wondering if this is something that we should do, since we havent heard anything so far and we filed i-130 on sep 25th. Thank you in advance. M&C

Hello, i got married two years ago and filed for and adjustment of status. My conditional green card expired last month and before that I filled to remove the conditions of my GC. I received a notice of action last month stating that I can travel abroad. I was wondering if I need a stamp in my passport to travel to Peru and if I can teavel with my Gc that has my new last name and my passport with old last name. The passport issue was bot a problem last year when I travel but mainly I am worried about if I need or not an stamp. thank you!!

I am in the process of applying for an IR-1/CR-1 visa for my Peruvian wife. The one complication is that she is currently subject to a 5 year entry ban (starting in Sept, 2018) after having been denied re-entry to the US on suspicion of working illegally. (She was in fact working illegally, and we have been honest and included that information in her work history. To be clear, she was not deported or subject to any immigration proceedings.) When I started this process I was told by an immigration lawyer that we could apply for a waiver of the ban in conjunction with the visa application and that there was a reasonable chance the waiver would be granted if all of the other requirements in the application were met. I decided not to use a lawyer and have been doing the whole process myself, and I do not understand how the waiver process works. We are now at the stage where we have submitted all of our info to the NVC and are waiting to hear about scheduling the visa interview. So my question is whether anyone can tell me at what stage of the process I would need to apply for the waiver and how to go about doing so. Thanks as always!

We have received our notice for the green card interview, and one of the lines on the notice says to bring "all documentation establishing you eligibility for lawful permanent residence status. This includes, but is not limited to, proof of status as an asylee, refugee, or a fianc e nonimmigrant." Since this is so open ended I'm unsure what it is asking for. Does anyone have any thoughts? Is this just asking for proof of bone fide marriage (like pictures)? Thanks!

Hi! I would like to hear from previous experiences (preferably from 2021) or advice about walking in an ASC or USCIS office, so I can receive a stamp on my passport. My greencard and 18-month extension letter are expired (2020-Mar-28 and 2021-Sep-28, respectively), and I have intl. travel plans. My departure date would be Nov. 25th so I m trying to get the stamp as soon as possible. I have already called the USCIS number, the agent checked my info (since every document I have is expired and my trip is in less than 30 days), I was placed in urgent queue to receive a call from a Tier 2 agent. I called USCIS Wed. 27th, and the 2nd call should happen within the next 72 hours but nothing yet. My last hope would be this Monday. So if I don t get the call, I d like to try to show up at their offices. Has anyone done this successfully in NorCal/Bay Area? Or any other areas? Any tip or advice are welcome. I m planning to print my itinerary confirmation email (recommended by the Tier 1 agent too), the email received on Wed. that confirms I was placed in urgent queue., and bring the rest of documents that proves that I do need the stamp. TIA
