I am curious if anyone on here has experience uploading updated documents to CEAC after DQ; more specifically, after interview appointment has been scheduled/confirmed, but prior to actual interview date. My wife's interview is the end of this month and I would like to upload several, more recently updated documents i.e., updated police, judicial certificates, photos, I-864, etc... YES, I know we can (and we will) bring them to the actual interview as well. Having read through the forums for quite some time I do see in some places, it is quite common for the CO to ask you to upload at the interview but I'd prefer to do it beforehand. So, my question for those in the know, if I upload an updated I-864 what do I choose in the ceac drop down menu (I-864 or other supporting evidence)? I don't want to delete my original I-864 but would like to add an updated one.

Hi! So after a few years my husband and I decided to petition for my mom. Straight to the questions. She's been coming to visit us frequently with her tourist visa (she is a grandma now so she wants to see her grandbaby) 1. Can we start the paperwork while she is staying here with us? 2. I'm a stay at home mother at the moment so the only income is from my husband, will that be ok? (we already checked the poverty guidelines) Any help will be very appreciate it! We want to make sure we are doing this forms and payments right. Thank you!

Hey everyone. So me and my wife just got married. I am a US citizen and she is a Peruvian citizen. We are currently living in Peru, I m applying to get a temporary resident card and our is plan to go to the US after on a CR-1 visa. My wife has a pending appointment on March for a tourist visa that she applied for in January 2021. At the time we were figuring out our plans and decided to apply for it in the meantime. Now that we got married here we want to start our CR-1 application. We have done some reading with mixed answers and wanted to know if there would be a problem if she stills go to the appointment tourist visa being already married to me. The purpose to still apply for the tourist one would be that we can visit my family soon and then apply (or while we wait to process) for the CR-1. We understand that they would most likely retract the tourist visa while waiting for our CR-1 approval, but if anyone knows if this will effect how they view our case that would be very helpful. Question 2: We have been discussing the possibility of hiring an attorney to help us with all the paperwork and process. Does anyone have an experience with this? If it s worth it? Or if anyone have recommendations for our situation and an idea of how much a lawyer would typically be for this service? We can't seem to find one that will even talk pricing without charging a consultation fee.

Can we interview in US rather than wait for embassy appointment? |

As the title says, can we interview in the US rather than wait for an appointment at the embassy? My husband has a European passport and is able to visit on the ESTA. The current wait times at the embassy in Lima for a CR1 interview are over a year after being DQ'd. This is much too long for anyone to have to wait. Can we perform the interview at a local USCIS office?
