Hello everyone,

my dad filed for my married sibling in 2011.
In sep 2024, they were requested to submit Aos and the rest of docs. they just submitted AoS and the rest of documentation. One sibling received today documentation qualified email.

how long will it take to get interview date after docs been qualified?

Also, this petitioners income was not enough but assets, cash for petioner and applicant was way more than enough to meet income guideline. Statements for 12 months were uploaded. Before qualifying docs, they sent email to consider adding joint sponsor and have prove of all assets for interview consular.

Now that docs r qualified, and assets cash is more than enough to support everyone. Do we still need joint sponsor?

I am writing this on behalf of my mother.

Mother had her citizenship interview on January 6 2025. the officer said she is not able to make a decision at this time. She needed to review her trips overseas and may be other things that she did not mention. Now its been over a month since she had her interview and we have not heard anything from USCIS.

We will appreciate any ideas or suggestions what to do. Thank you

Hi folks, I know people are going to see this post and roll their eyes given the amount of similar posts.

I couldn't help but make this post to see if anyone had any thoughts.

I had my interview for EB3 at the embassy in Islamabad in mid November last year. It has now been around 70 days (I know, this isn't too long but feels like forever) since I was put into AP without any additional documents being requested.

As for my case, I am being sponsored by an employer with whom I have been working since graduating from a US college in 2020. I worked on my OPT till 2022 and then left the US to wait for my case to process (been working remote as a contractor with the same company since then).

I hadn't even thought of the possibility of AP, but as I read about it, it seems like Pakistani males usually go through extensive security vetting? I've had a US tourist visa since I was a kid and had an F1 student visa as well as I attended college in the states, which I had hoped might have made things easier since I was living in the US from 2016-2022.

Any insights or ideas on what to expect or what might have caused AP? If not, I'd appreciate some good vibes and tips on dealing with not knowing where life is headed lol.

Thanks as always

IR1 visa holder travel to the US while spouse is abroad

Can IR1 visa holder (first time) travel to the US if their spouse is not present at the moment in the US?

Also, is it advisable to apply for re-entry permit after receiving physical green card? Or we can apply for the re-entry permit while my green card is on the way? Actually I am in the middle of the contract and can't stay in the US for long time, so I am thinking to save some time and apply for re-entry permit and get it ASAP.

Thank you
