US Immigration from New Zealand

I submitted my I-485 (through marriage) application in November and I just realised I spelled my Mum's middle name wrong in the form (there are 2 L's in the name and I only put 1) and doesn't match what it says on my birth certificate. Is this gonna matter or get DENIED? I already got (and responded to) an RFE but that was about the I-864. Not sure if I should redo the I-485 and upload it online (there's already like a million things on there for my RFE).

Hi - it's amazing how quickly time passes and how easily we forget. This place was my lifeline for over a year, and now I feel like I have to relearn everything.

We got a temporary green card for my husband due to the fact we were shy of two years married when we moved to the U.S. & Come June 2024, my husband's green card will expire, so I am starting to look into the Adjustment of Status process. I feel like I'm on ground 0 again. Can someone point me in the direction of a thread outlining the process (yes, I've tried to search but not seeing anything I'm looking for). If someone could point me in the right direction of where to start, what's needed, timelines, etc.

Hi everyone, long time reader, but not a long time member of the forum.

My fiance and I have a K-1 visa appliation and after a year of waiting, we have made it through to the stage where today I have recieved my notification that I am now eligible to schedule a visa interview appointment. YAY for us.

I log onto https://www.usvisascheduling.com and create an account and when I get to the visa options page, it gives me the option of Immigrant and non-immigrant as the visa type. When I select non-immigrant the post visa category does not have an option for a K visa, so instead I select immigrant as the visa type and I now have the option for a K visa. I select the K visa and the next screen asks for my DS confirmation number - but it asks for the DS 260 confirmation number.

The problem here is I filled out the DS 160 as a non-immigrant visa application because I understand that a K-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa application with the intent to become an immigrant and that a DS 260 is NOT to be used for K-1 visa applications.

So I am confused, I have 3 options but all of them seem wrong...
- Do I start the visa interview appointment application again, select non-immigrant and select a different type of post visa category? (K-1 visa is not an option I can select under non-immigrant)
- Do I enter my DS 160 confirmation number where it asks for the DS 260 confirmation number and hope for the best? (it says it cannot be modified after entry - which worries me that I might scrw up the process and rewind the process a year or more)
- Do I fill out a DS 260 and use that confirmation number? (I have read multiple threads on here that says a DS 260 is NOT for K-1 visa applicants)

After the k1 visa marriage (we were married last month) is there a time limit after that to do the adjustment of status within? We ve run into some money issues, so I m having a bit of a panic about when we have to have this done by so I can legally stay.

Hi all, anyone know how long the medical should take at Citymed? My appointment is at 11am and my flight back to Wellington is at 4pm - do you think I'll make my flight? Planning on using the Skydrive bus to get back to the airport. Thanks anyone who can help.
