Where do I begin? My fianc and I have been down a long, difficult road. We have been together for 4 years. Broke up and got back together. Long distance relationships can be difficult, not matter how much you love one another. That said, after waiting a year to get through USCIS and the NVC, we finally got our interview a few weeks back. We thought we had all the papers and documents ready. We really know one another well, and she speaks fluent English, so I was cautiously confident that things would go well. I should have expected the worst. At the end of the interview, she was given a 221G form and told to supply additional evidence: a court record (our lawyer seems to have missed this document), an original divorce decree (she only had the copy that was in the I-129 file), and, to my surprise, the CO asked for more photos, chats, and travel records, even though examples of each were in the file my fianc was asked to bring to the interview. We gathered all the documents and returned them via courier service within a couple of days. From what I have been reading and hearing, AP is a "holding pattern." No one can tell you how long it will take and what the outcome will be. According to my fianc several others were given 221G forms the day of her interview. Is this common these days? I was under the impression that CO's were supposed to issue them sparingly. One other question for now: when I search our case on CEAC, it says "refused." Is this common for those in AP? I appreciate any help and advice.

However, I just received an email that my case is at the moroccan consulate and Im a little confused on how to pay the visa fee. If anyone knows how to currently pay for it, please let me know. I am a green card holder I applied on removing conditions on residency and it's still processing since November 2020.

The problem is that my American spouse is very abusive we have been married for 4 years now and since I gave birth and my parents died things got only worst.

I am at a point where I can't take it anymore but he knows my weakness (my baby) so he keeps on threatening me by taking him away from me if I ever thought of divorcing him.

He tells me that since I have no job no income the court gonna see I can't support my son and he will be taken from me and he will cancel my green card and I will be deported back home and I will never see my son again.

I cry day and night I am humiliated constantly and I feel alone and stuck.

Also we are currently under government orders in germany because he is a DOD civilian. So it makes things more complicated.

Pleasesssssss help a sister out. Can he really take my son for me???? He is all I have and I can't imagine living without him.

Also can he prevent me from going back to the states or deport me back home???

Please I need to know my rights because so far all I know is what he is telling me

( Military Police got involved at one point because my neighbors were concerned for me but they couldn't do anything since he works with the government and not directly with the military)

I just received the NVC notice and I have a question and hopping I get an answer for it. I filed my taxes the past 3 years since I got married. And I filed them as a head of household because I have 6 years old son. Is that going to be an issue for my wife on her interview? Thank you

Hello everyone, question about filing taxes next year. My fiance will be arriving in October to the US on a K-1 visa. Once we are married and have his SSN, how do I go about putting him on my taxes for next year? I know that married filing jointly will be the most likely answer, but do I claim him as a dependent and me as head of household since he won't be working at that time? Is there any specific documentation that has to be submitted with our forms? Usually I just do a form 1040 so nothing too complicated. Any advice is appreciated.
