Does online I-130 takes care of everything? |

Dear members of this group. I'm finally ready to start the process of bringing my mother to the US. I just noticed now there's the option of filing the I-130 form online. My question is, by taking that path, does the online form takes care of everything needed including sponsorship? Or a physical form for sponsorship needs to be sent apart? Thanks in advance for any info you could provide.

My partner and I are currently living in Mexico. I'm a US citizen (dual citizenship MX-USA) but have been living in Mexico for many years now. My partner is Mexican, with a stable job here, and I recently got hired for a new job in Washington where I will WFH until June. My question here is, given our current location status and having in mind that we do want to get married someday, would it be better to get married ASAP in Mexico and start the CR-1 process in the Embassy since we will both have our stable jobs here for a while? Or, would it be better to begin with the K-1 process in May-June when we arrive to Washington? Also, in any of these cases, would they be able to work when we arrive to the US?

Should you put N/A in every empty field on I-129F |

Sorry if this is covered somewhere, but I didn't see it. The instructions for I-129F say "if a question does not apply to you, type or print "N/A" unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question requiring a numeric response is zero or none, type of print "None". However.... the pdf fillable form does not always allow you to type in every field. For example, if you check the No box for a question and there are follow-up questions (if you had selected "yes") the follow-up questions will often become uneditable. So, should you leave them empty when printing the app or print the app and then go put "N/A" with a black pin in the fields that don't allow editing due to previous selections? Another form screw-up is on your "Beneficiary's Physical Address 1" the instructions say "Provide your beneficiary's current address first if it is different from the mailing address in item numbers 11a - 11i." If the address is the same then you would put the last previous address, but the "Date to" field is set to "PRESENT" (in the case that the physical address is different from the mailing address) and will not let you change it. So you can't put a previous address in this section. You have to start with "Beneficiary's Physical Address 2". You can't use white out (ie print it out, white it out and write the "date to" because the instructions say that will screw up the scanning procedure. Soooooo..... what should one do? I could get a free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro and fix the pdf by editing it but is there an alternative? Thanks!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are doing ok. - I am a mexican student under J-1 visa, and I have the 2 year home rule. I would like to apply for a waiver but I cannot find any information about the No Objection Statement (NOS) in any mexican embassy web page.
- Does anyone know where can I request this letter or who to contact?
- I appreciate any help! Thank you

Hear me out, this is a serious question. As my wife and I go into our third year of this process with no end in sight, it seems there must be a point when enough is enough. We finally got through NVC stage after 19 months from filing, only to be stonewalled by a covid-closed consulate for almost a year so far with no opening in sight. The solution is simple, let my wife immigrate on a conditional basis until the offices can open and the government can start processing again. We would be more than happy to go anywhere at any time later for the proper interview. CR-1s have to do this anyway and it's not a problem. Give every I-130 spouse who's cleared NVC CR-1 status until they can process us properly. So who do I need to talk to? My Representative? My Senators? Surely we're not alone in this situation nor in the belief that it's completely ridiculous. We're trying to do the right thing here, going about it the legal way, but we're in our prime years and have to spend them apart because of a situation that could very easily be remedied with no loss to anybody. We've been patient but nobody should have to put up with this. Who's with me? How do we participate in democracy and make the government work for us?
