Hello everyone ! I filed for AOS in june 5th, and i recievd an RFE on 13th june ( I forgot to include form i-864 along side biometric appointment ) the RFE was responded to on july 2nd the same day my biometric Appointment was, I havent heard anything back from the USCIS since, No EAD or interview schaduled, My question here is the RFE holding back my EAD approval and the interview? the RFE was responded to 80 days ago. Based on your obersevation how long it takes the USCIS to generally process form I-864 RFE, is there any standarized timeline ? Thank you all!

I hope this email finds you well. This is <Personal info removed>, a Jordanian national residing in Qatar for the past 24 years. Please find attached the Notice of Action (Form I-797) related to my immigration petition to the USA, filed by my brother in 2010 under the F4 category (brother of a U.S. citizen). It has now been more than 15 years since the petition was approved, yet I am still waiting for the final approval and cannot predict when my case will become current. I have been closely following the monthly Visa Bulletin for the past several years, but unfortunately, the F4 priority dates have shown little to no movement in recent years. Could you kindly advise on the expected duration remaining before my case becomes current and proceeds to final approval? Any guidance or updated insight on the current backlog situation would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time and support

Ooof. I know it s all about ties to his home country. I get it. He s young (21) and single. Not good. Awfully hard to prove ties at that age. But, this is an ideal time for him to visit us. He s finished college and has an offer from the army in his country to work in cybersecurity for them, but not until January 2026. Unfortunately , he doesn t have documents showing this. That s par for the course in his country, although I realize that feels weird to Americans. He truthfully said on his application that he s not currently employed and that we would be paying his expenses. I know letters are not required. I also know that people say they will get you denied. But, we d like to document that his uncle (my husband) will be visiting the country this fall and that after his nephew visits us this summer that he will return with his uncle and they will travel together. Is that at all helpful? We are super annoying about being rule followers and so, no, we would not financially support our nephew being here illegally and just want a darned visit so we can show him the US. Gonna be a rubber stamped denial because he s a kid without a fat bank account?
