I want to request everyone's knowledge and suggestions with my situation. So my wife came from Japan last year on a K-1 Visa and we got married last year. We are still waiting on her Green Card interview appointment date. I am trying to file my tax but realize that I need my wife SSN, even if I file separately. She currently don't have a SSN. I read through few of tax related blog here on VisaJourney, and learned that she needs to get an ITIN and I should file an extension on my tax. Does anyone know where or what I need to do to request both federal and state tax extension? Also what would my wife need to do to get that ITIN? I would greatly appreciate any tips. Thank you for taking your time to read my post. Hope you are all safe and we are praying that things will get better this year :)

I have my tax returns for 2020 and 2019, but did not file in 2018 (I was a student and not working). Do I check question 25 (under part 6), or is that only for if I didn't file in the most recent tax year (2020)?

I've looked everywhere and cannot find a solid answer to this, so any suggestions would be very appreciated. A decent size of my income is based on commission. As such, I am not sure what to put for part 6 question 7. I've been in my position for a little over a year, and have one tax return (2020) for this role. Should I put my target annual compensation (base pay + commission at 100% of my goal), or should I put total income listed on my 2020 tax transcript? With just my base pay I am above the required amount, but not by a whole lot so it would not be great to put only that I don't think.

Hello! Apologies if this has been asked/answered. I am living abroad in Japan with my Japanese husband. We want to start the process of getting him a visa so we can move to the US. Because I will be filing from abroad, I was under the impression that I have to do DCF. However, it seems that the circumstances for DCF are for emergencies. I am not sure what the difference is between filing for an I-130 and doing DCF. Any information is helpful! Thanks!!

My wife who has GC applied I-131 re-entry permit, but I forgot to put a copy of her GC in the envelop. What should we do? Waiting for the USCIS response? Or submit the new one? I appreciate any of your suggestions.
